Sea day and Split

So...sea day....not much to say....and yes, one would guess that sea day would be the day that i would catch up sleeping...dont ask me what the hell i did...enjoy the sun, go to gym...somehow just forgot to sleep....i have actually calculated, i have noT slept more than 4 hrs each night....im quite amazed what a body can go through, the fact that i am still standing and coping...wow.....anyways....no, im not showing off.....just stating the facts, haha....So sea day....as we all Know the food in the mess is bad....so dinner was Cagneys steakhouse.....didnt have fillet though.....had salmon.....man it is grilled to perfection.....medium....which is exactly the way it must be....and then a cheese platter for dessert....yummy....there was even some gruyere on it.....def not as good as the Swiss one....but good....

So now to Split.....Banu and i decided to take the crew tour to Krka national park....i mean why the hell not....so we both finished work at 8am...the plan for both of us was to sleep and then meet at 10:45 for the tour.....but Banu and i both somehow ended up not sleeping.....so 10:45 came then we took the tender boats ashore and from there we boarded a bus that drove us to Krka, the drive was an hour, very short for us cause we took the entire back row, and lay horizontal, passed out for the entire hour. Found out some facts about Croatia before sleeping though.....Croatia only has 4.5million inhabitants, Split is the second largest coastal city with 200 000 inhabitants, mostly young people even though Split, a large part, is declared a UNESCO world heritage site.....i think next time i must go check out the palace there.....our tour took us to the main part of the National Park. There are 17 waterfalls and at one of them you are allowed to swim.....i was very excited...Dina had done the excursion when she was nightshift and the pics looked amazing....so yay....here is a pic when we first drove into the National park.....

When we arrived at the drop of zone, we were told we had 2.5hrs before having to be back on the bus.....Banu andi looked at a map and decided to follow a cicular path which would take us to the main parts, end up at the waterfalls and in the end at the bus again.....it said that if one took a very slow stroll around that path it would take 45min.....so here are some pics.....i dont have the words to describe how amazing the scenery was....just simply WOW......

Arrival at the waterfalls it was time for a small lunch, just french fries, then it was time to swim ipby the waterfalls....i had borrowed an underwater camera which was so handy....otherwise none of the next few picswould have existed.....it was so nice to swim in crystal clear water right by the waterfalls.....hope u at least getting a little jealous......Banu and i really had a good time.....
On the way back we thought we do need to pose for a few pics....i mean how often are you at waterfalls like these....haha.....then 2.5hrs were way too short cause i could def have just chilled on the grass a little and tanned.....but time flew and the next thing we were back on the bus, back SPlit, back on the boat.....great outing.....dinner....Sushi, large platter to share with some seaweed salad and hot and sour soup....yummy....slept for 2hrs then it was time for nightshift......

Maybe i can share a couple of nightshift stories......now...no, i think im gonna leave it for next time.....Venice and nightshift......
