First up was a coconut shot....and then a get to know game on the beach with Boracay melon rum shots.....then off to another pub with more shots and games and so it went on the entire evening....i did not make it to the last pub...bailed around 12, was just too tired....but was fun...the part i didnt like was the distances between the different pubs and also the third pub played "doof doof disco" musi

He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Nero Paella Lechon So....the make up artist was fabulous.....he did an amazing job, he also did the hair for the three of us...the other brides maides' make up and hair was done by his entourage.....here a pic of us getting ready for the big event.... Foooooood.....a favourite subject of mine...i think we all know that...so this blog is dedicated to food...and all the various food items we tried whilst in the Boracay...ill focus on the highlights so as not to do a never ending blog.....well let's start with breakfast which was at our amazing hotel the Asya Premier.....the breakfast a la carte menu was wide (buffet, i was not too impressed)....the one item that stood out to me was the European breakfast...the muesli with a soft boiled egg...presentation, i guess, is what made the biggest difference....very nice idea.....(soft boiled egg, Swiss Emmi yoghurt, muesli with fresh fruit and a glass of milk and honey)....ph yes...not to forget.....mango in the Philippines...is a MUSt try.... Snacks during the day rather than a full on lunch was the norm for us while we were ....then again...what would you expect...we only had breakfast around 11....so damn good to sleep in....my top three snacks....an ice cream called: The

Coffee

According to Kim "Before i met Sandra, cappuccino was some coffee with some milk foam on top.....but since i have known Sandra i have learnt that a cappuccino in fact has 17 different layers"....hahaha...maybe not 17....but definitely a lot So..what are they..... 1. Thick-ish foam 2. Lots of foam 3. Strong coffee 4. Not too much milk, a little bit less or same amount as coffee 5. Small-ish cup 6. Needs to be hot 7. Chocolate sprinkles on top 8. Bonus if there is a biscuit......(but it needs to be a good one) So...7 must have's and one would be nice to have Now....lets talk about the actual places.....in Bangkok I have tried Coffee World and Au Bon Pain.....here is a pic followed by explanation First up...Coffee World Coffee World Cup size too big, 3x amount of milk to espresso (cup was filled to the rim) which then means not enough space for foam....thick-ish foam, but way too little....coffee strength could not be tasted as it was too m

So....this blog will go through the next 5 highlights.... Number 6: Armani Prive Bar....cocktails on the rooftop....the main reason i loved this..the atmosphere....again, cocktails are a little pricey, but the vibe, sitting on the rooftop, so worth it....can be found when you walk on the bridge towards the Star Ferry on the Central side, in the Chater House, i again had a champagne based cocktail, French 75 and it tasted fab....really great place...again, you get served some snacks such as nuts and chips....definitely worth a visit Number 7: taking a tram to Victoria Peak...now this we did not do this time, we have done this the last time...and once done and unless fab weather, not worth it, cause you go up there for the view, there is also a large shopping mall and restaurants up there, so you can make it a whole day outing...also....bear in mind...there might be a que to go up to the peak (to take the tram)...here is a website that will help you plan your day a little....
