So, Pizza was invented in Napoli.....at that time the queen was called Margherita of Savoy, so this young chef from Napoli created this dish for the poor, which consited of the pizza dough, however, he loved Italy so he wanted to cover it with ingredients that showcased the Italian flag (white, red and green), so he covered the pizza with red tomato sauce, white mozzarella and green basil leaves and because he loved the queen he honoured her by calling his pizza Margherita.....interesting...thought id share it with you...... so, learning italian is my first inspiration and off course the second one has been to

I finally went to a Heuriger....which is a Eastern-Austrian wine tavern...where there is a buffet by weight for food and they serve the most recent year's wine and play Austrian music, live....it must be amazing in summer with all the little vineyard areas outside, but nevertheless, the vibe now was so much fun.....we had cheese and meat platters, so up my alley, and off course wine....the music....so much fun....playing the accordian and guitar....(see pics below) The next day, i went to the Prater, which Is an amusement park which only opens middle of march, but thr main attraction, the Prater (who would have guessed the name), is a ferriswheel which overlooks the whole of Vienna, wot an amazing sight....loved it.....then again i bet

Image
So...now i am back from Prague.....very beautiful city....honestly liked it....prague and budapest are very simiLar, lets see....both cities are divided by a river into a left and right side, the left side is dominated by a castle district and a large church while the right side has the jewish district and is where the young and the new, vibey city is..... The castle district which you access by going up many many stairs was very beautiful and the view from there is great (see first pic below) and the church...wow....amazing architecture and looks so gothic, nothing i have seen before (see second pic below) also saw all the main synagoges and the jewish cemetry.... The pinkas synagoge was very moving, on the walls inside are all the names of the people that died in the holocoust, it was very hectic...but goood to see..... The most amazing sight by far was the famous charles bridge...wow....it was begun in 1357 and all the staues that line it are jesus propogada....quite a sight......

Did you know......the story of the croissant and carpacchio......

So here are some interesting facts i have learnt and i thought id share them with u.... Did u know that.... Croissant aka cornetti aka Gipfel was actually invented in Austria.....who would have thought....so this is the story.....the Austrians won the war against the Turks and they wanted to make something to celebrate their victory.....so they invented the croissant aka cornetti aka Gipfel....the shape actually has a high significance because it is the shape of the half moon which is depicted on the Turkish flag...interesting and here we all thought it came from the French..... Carpaccio originally comes from Venice....Some countess was told by her vegetarian dr that she was only allowed to eat meat in the raw form, so Harry' bar where she always hung out cut the raw meat very thinly and dressed it with Dijon mustard. When they looked at what they created they thought it looked like a painting from Vittore Carpaccio, especially the colours reminded them of it...hence it was
