Corfu and Sushi

So first sea day not much happened....i must tell you about breakfast though....so my mom got VIP a second week...she was so happy cause she loves the breakfast in the VIP area....so seeing that i am afternoon shift...and almost every night im ending at 1am...i managed to at least go for breakfast wth my mom 5 out of 7 days...and yes i know this cause im still behind in the blog (im nite shift at the moment, so i will do mybest to catch up...im just slow cause of the internet...problems....).... Anyways...back to the topic....so VIP breakfastis in the steakhouse and there is an a la carte hot menu and a cold buffet....man....im in heaven....smoked salmon, proscuitto and NEVER to forget BRIE cheese and lots of butter...so yes I loved my breakfast...especially the BRIE with butter...... 

Now lets talk about CORFU.....i started work at 12, so i said to my mom, lets go out at 8 sharp and we can roam around and have breakfast outside....wot a good idea....man...who would have thought this....my mom, 8 sharp on the gangway and i was late...now that does not happen often, and of course she couldnt help herself to comment.....hmmmmmm.....the we decided to stroll to the old town....the walk along the beach i had done with Dina but i have never been to the old town.....i like these Greek ports....so we strolled around....mom bought a really nice handbag and i bought some olive oil! Then it was time for some good breakfast.....and what else to have but Baklava.....man it is so sweet....so it had to be eaten with a croissant and a strong macchiato....which was really good....we chatted for long and actually didnt realise how timr was flying....love spending some quality time just with mom......so here are some pics of when we went out and of course also from our breakfast..i mean my blog would not be complete without food pics, right? Smetimes i actually wonder what people think when they see me taking pics....butyou know what...who actually cares....so here they are.....

 
 
Now sushi....once with my mom...once with a friend....gonna post from both nites cause i think we ate very different things....once more. The roles and once more sashimi.....i love the sushi on the shop...can never go wrong with it....and also tried this thing...some seaweed salad or something..not wuite sure...when you see. The pic below....it looks quite vile but trust me..it was very good...the dressing was sesame oil and sesame seeds....man talking about it makes me hungry again......

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
