Venice...and home time.....

Oh my.....sign off time...the day has arrived...wow....it went hell of a fast...actually unbelievable....here some pics of when we were going through the Grand Canal.....

Once off the ship of course there were a few must do's....including a pizza and some local red wine with kim....so off we went to the Pizzeria we know (we just wanted a good Pizza).....and man...im terrible...but i still dont know the name of the Pizza place...i promise next time i get a name...i mean it does not really help if i dont know the name....same one we went in July though (twice), the one with the red and white checkered tablecoths.....so cute...and this time we had a pizza with egg, mushrooms, salami and spicy salami (Kim wanted the Capriccosa but i wanted different)....and it def did not disappoint....here some pics...

Then yes...the waffle type sandwich ice cream...and i am sorry again...no name of the place...you know i have actually decided..take more note of names, so that i can give you guys some more details which help you a little more when you trott around the globe.....so anyway...the sandwich type ice cream amazing...yummie....and then some strolling around...managed to find a bikini...when you are in Italy...try check out this store called Tezenis.....great underwear, bikinis (in summer) and great basic wear....very good prices...

And then some more strolling around.....of course we had some cappuccino (terrible) and because we were shocked how ba it was we rather sat down next to my Tezenis store in a small Piazza and had an Aperitifo (Apperol, lemonade and bubbly) and some peanuts and chips...man that was much better....Aperitifo is a typical Italian drink that gets consumed as a pre-dinner drink, in Italia people tend to have either a Spritz ir an Aperitifo, but yes, of course you can also have your beer, wine or cosmopolitan.

Around 6 it was time to take the taxi to airport....and there we found the wine bar...had some great bubbly (kim beer) and a ball of buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes on the side....so damn good...loved it....then a short flight to Zurich where we bought some Swiss Gin

And of course Lindt chocolate balls....now here is a small secret....in the main terminal on the second floor...Lindt has its own shop...and you can make your own bag with the various Lindt ball flavours....flavours such as 70% black, black, milk, orange, CHAMPAGNE, CARAMEL, MARZIPAN, white and many more....just so amazing...kim's comment was....he felt like he wasnt there..abandoned.....i was in my own world.....so if you there at the airport...even just in transit..do yourself a favour and go there.....then time to fly and make our way home to South Africa....where an amzing brunch awaited us...brie, Camembert, truffle cheese, parma ham....you name it...it was there...heaven....afternoon a round of golf in the sun and a braai in the evening....fillet of course...in actual fact the next day we had another braai...this time ostrich fillet...that is just what we needed and wanted...real South African food....yummie.....
