My venture

So, finally the time has come....my parents arrival. I was really looking forward to it....just showing them the ship and what i do and of course the specialty restaurants......so, i had to work very early in the morning, start at 6:30 and i was off at 11 for 3 hrs....perfect, i could go and fetch my parents and then have a lunch with them at the Garden Cafe.....when i saw them in the arrival hall i was so happy and excited.....they got VIP which was a total surprise to them and they felt so honoured, i was so happy for them...so of course special treatment for them....they def deserve it.....after check in, i showed them the ship, a little, and then we had lunch at the Garden Cafe (they wanted to see more but by now i was dying of hunger, so sorry)..Garden cafe was very busy but was so nice to catch up...work that afternoon passed quickly and in the evening i had made dinner reservation for the three of us at Papa's.....for starters i had the carprese, yes, i know, boooring.....my

So as you know Mykonos is my fav port.....this time it was Dina's last time....we were so happy when we saw the schedule and we saw that we would have time together....of course last time when we were in Mykonos, 2 weeks ago, she said i must practice some poses cause my camera skills suck, haha, so that this time we could take photos...she could practice her skills......so our mission today in Mykonos was to take lots and lots of pics and guess what.....we succeeded....we found a really nice white wall took some black and white pics some colour and found many more spots, it was so much fun, and i must admit, i think im getting better...can i say that without arRogance...i think so......  So Dina's comments were....that im getting better...we still need to practice...emphasis on WE, haha...and also next time no accessories, jewellery and sunglasses, i decided not to include photos with sunglasses. So before i start.... I know the last time i wrote, was after Corfu and this is terrible cause today we were in Corfu again.... Oops, that means 2 weeks have passed.... Now here are some of the excuses.... My parents were on board, so of course i wanted to spend time with them.... Then my very very close friend, who in actual fact i call my little sister, it was her last week, so yes free time was spent with her.... And then when i finally did want to write and had time the application, as i mentioned and wont bore you again.... Didnt work... So where to start, Santorini, almost 2 weeks ago, Katakolon, Mykonos, the week wih my parents or the 60th birthday..... Actually i did say ill start from the back but all you guys know me, im quite structured and organised so ill have to start with Santorini 2 weeks ago.... All it means is that over the next couple of days there will be quite a few updates.... So you better have some time otherwise good luck to catch up later, haha..... Ok enoug

So im having a lot of problems with this internet here.... The app that i write on needs to be updated and the internet is too slow.... So yes, im still alive doing very well.... When i have fast internet ill get the app downloaded and then i believe i owe an update.... Ill start from this last week and then work my way backwards.....

So the team dinner was in celebration of winning the team of the month...now this was because we got nominated for the whole passport issue....you might remember...and we won...so our entire team was invited to go to one of the inclusive a la carte restaurants on the ship...the ones we are not go eat at....so for starters i had the smoked salmon tartar with avo, yummy....then the seared salmon and also shrimp risotto(i was on a salmon mission) and for dessert the cheese platter.....the food was good, not amazing but good....the tartar was very good though....so we also all got a little star...see pics below..... The next day it was Corfu....finally i got a chance to go out in Corfu....yay...first crew drill then Corfu...the drill ended at 11:30 and crew onboard was 14:30, always an hour before we sail.....we decided to walk to town and our mission was to dip our feet in the ocean....the town was a 30min walk, which we knew, and it was so hot, on the way we of course took many photos..

So Izmir again.....this time did something totally different....man you can just never stop exploring, loving it....having a blast seeing all the different things....So first things first...i had to make my way to the famous nut shop where i stocked up on mixed nuts, i think i mentioned it before, it is just so cheap, i would be a fool not to stock up, and i mean i love nuts...so what the hell....then we decided to make our way to the famous Bazar...normally it akes about 40min to walk there, 3.5km away, we made it in 20min, again this is time pressure, so lets speed walk and then rather stroll the Bazar and enjoy our time there.....what a cool place, they were playing this prayer music really ally loud and there were stand everywhere....so different.....i loved the little stalls where they wre selling mini apples...they were everywhere and shirts, dried fruit and nuts, Turkish coffee cups and of course Turkish eateries and seperate coffee places. Trust me i didnt have coffeethough, ha

So last nite we had the good-bye party of our boss, she is getting married and is leaving the company after having been with them for 12 yrs...arty was not very exciting but the food was quite amazing....Dina and i stayed for an hour cause we were bored and also we started work at 6:30....but here a some pics anyway....we love the camera.....and it brings memories....haha... So today started work at 6:30am, man im tired...i finished the first shift at 10:30 but i was not off cause it was boat drill until 11:30.... At 11:30, Dina, Radu and i made our way to Athens.....so first of course we had to get to the metro station in Piraeus.....on our way there we all felt rather hungry...so why not have a quick stop at a local spot, i actually lead them to the same spot that i ate kebabs the last time....only this time we decided on Giro, deep fried anchovies and lots and lots of tzatziki....and with it also came half a loaf of french baguette...so so good.....here is some pics to make you hung

So....i was off at 12:30.... Had some really really good lunch at the Garden cafe...there was Brie cheese so you an only imagine i was in heaven...and there was hummous and pita bread.....so good....unfortunately we were only getting to Dubrovnik at 2pm and i started work again at 16:30... And we have to take a shuttle bus to Dubrovnik. For cw it always leaves at 30min past and returns always on the full hrs....so the question pondered in my mind....should i take the 2:30 bus and return with the 4pm bus....and i think you all know what i decided.....1.5 hrs out....damn right.....  Radu was off at 14:30, so he decided to sneak out at 14:20 and we made the 14:30 shuttle bus....as we got there i wanted to have a drink at this restaurant in the cliffs with amazing view...this was perfect cause Radu wanted a swim.....so both of us would be happy.....i loved it...just ordered a fshly squeezed orange juice and sat looking at the view...so so amazing.....at 15:30 we decided we would have some

Last nite was one hour back, this means clocks went one hr back, so we gained an hr, so we decided to have a party in the crew bar in farewell of Anastasia who was leaving the team in Venice. What an awesome nite....man we drank, danced and laughed until we got kicked out of the crew bar at 3am, was a lot of fun....everyone on the dance floor and everyone was so relaxed, and the fun part was most of the Guest Service Team was there and of course crew bar is for everyone so also some other people that i know from other departments, great nite "out". Here are some pics: And today was Venice, a new guy, Brian, from the Philipenes joined us last cruise, so i decided to show him St Marks square as he has never seen it before and also Rialto. Also another girl joined us, who also never managed to see St Marks and Rialto.
