Finland part II

So....as promised....enough about food....let's see some pics of Provoo and Helsinki....Provoo is about a 40min drive from Helsinki and it is like a picture book...the old town is so beautiful....wooden houses in all different colours...so pretty.....and the stores have such quaint little things....i really loved it....we went to one of the restaurant pubs and it was so nice inside...wow...have a look at the pics from Provoo.... Yes...again...part I and then there will be a part II.....so we arrived in Helsinki around 11pm and by the time we arrived at kim's parents house it was almost midnight....and we were welcomed with a smell of fresh food...potato bake with anchovies....served with pickled beetroot....it was delicious.....of course i had to take a photo....not the best quality photo....but your mouth will start to water.... Last few weeks.....part zwei

So....as promised...there is a second part to my last few weeks spent on the ship.....so the team received €50.00 from a guest and it was decided to buy goodies....food goodies.....chips and chocs for the team....organise some springrolls and pizza and have a karaokee evening....no, i dont sing.....but i like listening to bad singing...and the best part is when some people think they sing really well....but they really dont....the evening was fun....sadly they ordered vegetarian pizza.....but springrolls were fab and of course lindt chocs yummie.....and then the evening ended at the white hot party in Spinnaker Me, Mark and Blanca Christine, Alfie, Sascha, me, Mark, Blanca and Shewta So...the last cruise was quite special.....we had 700 Elvis fans on board..and yes...Elvis was all around the ship...with his hairstyle and white suit.....and Priscilla Presley was also on board with the TCB band.....The TCB band features 3 original Elvis band members with a new singer, but he has

Last few weeks.....part uno

So....as you have noticed i have been slacking in the blog the last few months...well...there is a reason...not an excuse....but in actual fact this supervisor...when you have afternoon shift, which lasts 2 weeks, you have ABSOLOUTELY NO CHANCE to go out....and then finally when morning shift comes....sometimes she still does not give enough time to go out.....so it has been pretty frustrating....but....the positive side in afternoon shift...one is normally off between 4 and 8 so kim and i could have nice room service dinners.....so...yes...one just has to look at the positive side of things....now...lets talk about the last few weeks....in Katakolon we had a crew beach party, the first one we had was last year and it was suchad success that it was decided we would have another one this year....and guess what...another success....kim and i rented a small motorbike to get us to the beach....it was so much fun riding that thing...totally different toad Harley....yes, thats a given....bu

My parents and granny on the cruise

So....finally time for my family to come on board.....mom, dad and mutti....kim and i have been so excited...planning what to do...Dinners....going out...etc....so Saturday morning they arrived ready for the Greek island cruise....Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos and Katakolon.....Saturday evening we took them to Cagney's restaurant...The steakhouse which now has Angus certified beef...and as always...it was delicious...i had the ribs for starters (off the bone marinated with smokey bbq sauce), followed by filet mignon....mom the same....mutti crab salad followed by filet mignon and dad and kim had the chicken drumsticks followed by the dried Angus beef rib eye....which you have to order rare....cause there is no blood anymore in it....they loved it...well as i said we all loved our meals....and yes...i will share some pics....
