My venture

So...yes...i have been having huge troubles with the blog...hence no updates...so im not going to write in chronological order...im gonna put the two last Naples together in one blog...after all..this blog is aboutmy traveling adventures and what i have learnt and what might give you some ideas when you travel...food wise and other nice to know facts...it is NOT my life-story...but yes of course...i do sometimes tell you a little bit more that just the travels...oh my word...i am rambling...do not ask me why....one of those days i guess.... So...as you know we have not been having the best of luck lately with pizza...so we were really hoping to have some better luck...so off we went in another direction..in fact we ended up at the pizza restaurant where my friend, Iris, and I had that nocciolate coffee.....so....why there...two reasons...number one..it was a nice coldish but sunny day and we wanted to sit somewhere outside...sun of course...and secondly...i wanted kim to try that

So....another Istanbul overnight...and guess what this time...first time...my schedule would allow me to go for dinner...oh my word...couldnt believe it...so of course....dinner out was a given..... In the afternoon we took a stroll not far from the ship and found this amazing coffee shop....so cool...Julius Meinl brand coffee....which if you dont know...is amazing....here is a logo...   The coffee shop looked like a hippie hang out place....loved the look...sunny day...why not a nice cappuccino outside...coffee was fab...thick foam...strong...what else could i want....good company and sunshine...also get ticks....here a pic of the coffee as well as the coffee shop....     As planned....evening....we went up to Taksim square and walked around the buzzing main road for a little bit...so nice and vibey....then of course time for foodies.....of course the restaurant needs to be a little off the main path...so we found this little place in the market street somewhere..

Yes....the next few days passed quite fast....not too much happening...Katakolon some good cappuccino...attempted to call my mom but internet was horrific...so decided to keep the internet session for Piraeus and just enjoy my cappuccino and the sun....Piraeus.....internet with my mom...it is so nice when you can have a great cappuccino, only pay €1.5 and sit and chat to my mom for over an hour with excellent connection...so nice....and now...time for Easter... In my tradition, or family tradition, we get a Easter basket with chocs and a small present...so of course i want to continue that tradition......today we were in Izmir...kim didnt want to wait for exchanging Easter baskets until i was off at 11....so we got up early....yes....coffee and breakfast in bed and of course exchange of Easter baskets.....lots of chocs for me and some underwear...yes....spoilt...but the best Easter present we gave to each other....hmmmm....should i mention it....i think you need to wait a little lon

So...another cruise finished...already 3 weeks have passed since sign on....wow...time does fly...and soon its Easter....i like Easter....nice chocolates....yummy......let me not get carried away...lets go back...embarkation day.....so...this Civi some of the people from my team, guest services, well two of them asked me to join them on an outing to a village called Torfa. Matteo is Italian and thus has some connections in Civi and managed to organise a taxi which collected us at the terminal (normally taxis are not allowed to enter the port only if they have special permission), it was a Merc mini-van....fancy....in the end it was Matteo, Lucia, a butler and me that ended up going to Torfa.....a small village in the mountains about 30min from the port....and what a pretty village...already driving there through the countryside felt so good...a little bit away from the city..... When we arrived we decided to take a stroll up the mountain to see some ruins and an old church...quite

So...before i chat about Naples...lets chat about Spinnaker...a group of us went to Spinnaker, as my friend from the restaurant, Andrea was leaving for vacation....an excuse to go to Spinnaker....Prosecco....good music....and yes...Some dancing....was a fun night and time seemed to run away....here some pics Next day was Naples....and kim said that he would like to choose the Pizza place...now there was a lot at stake...the last two pizzas have been quite a disaster..civvi and naples (even the ship ones were better...and those have thick base...so its telling a lot....)....well we walked to our favourite street, via Tribunali, and found the spot...Pizza Vera....we went to the upper section....we both decided to independantly look at the menu and see whether we would come up with the same...wierd enough..out of 30 pizzas we both came up with the same...buffalo mozzarella, tomato base, ham, and egg....and man...we waited sooooo long for it...was unbelievable...and hmmmm....def de
