Image
So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind. We started off by driving past our new home (could not go inside as the current owners were packing up) and then we made our way to McKinney where we have a friend who has been so kind to receive and store all of our post,

As promised....after returning from Naples, that night (Wednesday) we had a farewell aperitif with all our friends....was nice to say our final good-byes. Thursday for us was some relaxing and some admin things (closing bank accounts, facials etc). Friday we left early to travel to Rome where we had a straight flight to Finland. Here is Sofia in the airplane: Sofia Ready to Go Sofia Ready to Go In Finland we enjoyed our time seeing Kim's parents, sister and some friends. Of course we went to our favourite coffee places "Coffee House" and "Cafe Rongo", we met some friends and caught up with them. Friday night dinner, Kim's parents made dinner and invited Katja and her family as well as their friend Gustav...they made Gravlax (salmon cured in salt, sugar and dill), small fried fish, potatoes and salad...for dessert cake...and for congratulating me in being accepted into the university they served Veuve Clicquot, all so delicious. So...we are in Napoli again, but let me share a bit of insight with you.....after leaving the ship (Caribbean) we went home to the Tuscany to pack and then Sofia and I joined Kim for 4 weeks on the ship again....the Fiords and the UK....but I will catch you up on a later time because Kim told me I should be a little bit more up to date with my blog so hence I will skip a little bit forward and at a later stage catch you up from the travelling with the ship. So, June 11th, Sofia, Kim and I signed off together in Southampton and made our way to Rome where Sofia was fetched by my parents to go home to Tuscany and Kim and I made our way to Napoli for Kim's medical check and his interview at the American Consulate. We arrived after 10pm on Sunday night, so we just crashed in our Air BnB and that was that. Monday morning we took very easy...slept in, relaxed....went for some cappuccino nearby and then decided to visit a friend who had a baby and lives in Sorrento.....she made us som

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim.
