Venice
So...once again....back to Venice....as i said im not going to discuss Piraeus, Katakolon or sea day as they were quite unhappening......other than our new manager being a pain in the bAckside....but im not here to complain...so ill shut up.......oh...but i did have some good food....among it, the seaweed salad again and the hot and sour soup.....here is a pic....
Now....to some more interesting news....hmmmmm....or story telling is prob a better word.....i have two friends looking at visitig me in SA.....that is such good news....im so happy....both hav not booked it concretly......but i have faith.....man that word does not really belong or fit me....so maybe i should rather say...i trudt them....haha.....anyway.....so my Friday morning started well....that was actually the point i was getting at.....kim and i left to go into Venice around 8:30.... Yes, quite early....but my shift started at 11:30.... So what can you do.....so we walked into venice and decided coffee....well macchiato and cappucino spunded like a plan.....but not a touristy area...somewhere local.....so we just took a stroll towards the other end of San Marco and Rialto......found such a local spot...looked so inviting.....very very casual...a bakery so inn we went...ordered some good Italian coffee....and guess what....the foam for the very first time was exactly like SA.....amazing....and no need to make fun of me searching for foam....but hey....when u actually dont have something u start appreciating and missing it.......and then Kim chose a pastry...some cherry, pear thing...was good...but i thought maybe i could beat him...i lost in Izmir....so i def couldnt keep up that record.....so i went in and chose an almond marzipan pastry, similar looking like the cherry one but i thoug a much more inviting filling....and man....i was so right....even he admitted mine was better....so that spot a def one to go back to....and it was so cheap....who would have thought.....amazing....after that it was already time to get back...time flies when having a good time...the initial plan was to get icecam...but that plan fell in the water....oh well.......cant plan everything....sometimes things just happen.....I like this saying which was in one of the bacetti chocs....seek fortune in what surrounds you, it is closer than you think..... i think that is actually a really nice statement......anyways....here is a pic of cherry pastry and a great cappuchino.......
Work was a very loooooong day.....i was oeprator for 10.5hrs...almost killed me.....i had to work until 1am! And the next day i was starting at 8am and on top of it all it was one hr forward...what the.....anyways.....i guess i also survive this one.....my mom called me while i was operator from 12 until 12:45....which was great...time flew....whenever i had a call come in i could put her on hold then continue chatting...quite handy.....oh....i almost forgot.....today brian and i went to jasmine garden for dinner....this was a way from me to thank him for helping me with the nightshift duties......i love brian. Today was his forst day as assistand concierge and man he was so stressed, he came all flustered to dinner....and was like.....i feel like im giving birth and having major contractions, he makes me laugh, and yes, he is gay....so we ordered a hell of a lot from shrimp spring rolls to cran wontons to scallops, orange peel beef, shrimps in lemon sauce to green tea ice cam (and i have not mentioned everything), here are some pics.......and then im off to sleep a little in the sun......
