Pilgrim's Rest to Hans Marensky

In total that was about 180km....of course we had to stop on the way and have a Magnum....yes, a new one, Biscotti....and it is divine...but....ill go into more details another day....arrival at Hans Merensky around 14:00.....interesting place....and no, not in such a good way.... I really was disappointed at Hans Merensky...another tourist spot and it just doesnt show how amazing South Africa is...the main facilities (entrance hall, restaurant and golf pub) beautifully decoration....but.... - We stayed in the "new" area and we had to change rooms because the entire sliding door was falling apart, the wood cracked open when you tried to open the doors and when we changed doors, the sliding door handle came off - When we checked in, i asked whether dinner was a la carte or buffet, the lady at reception said, she is not sure, sh will get back to me....she NEVER did - There was only one set of towels in the bathroom..... - The dinner buffet looked shocking...so we did

Day 3: in the Morning we had our continental breakfast which was delivered to us the afternoon before and placed in the fridge...a basket with yoghurts, 2 sandwiches, 2 croissants, jam, butter, 2 breakfast bars, apples, banana and nartjies.....we ate outside in sun...what a great start to the day.... Eating breakfast We decided to drive back towards Sabie, then to Graskop, then God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes and back past Ohrigstad to Pilgrims Rest......of course when we reached Graskop i spotted the chocolate shop and Kim saw Harrie's pancakes...so we had to stop....we bought two choc shot glasses and a small Amarula liquor, one chilli coco truffle and one marzipan truffle....i guess i dont need to say whose was whose.....we shared a pancake (cinnamon, sugar and apple pie).....yummie...filling was cold, which kim loves, i would have prefered warm.... Truffles delicious, chocolate for shot glasses, not really...idea nice though Menu at Harrie's panc

Morning was chilli (below zero, inside close to)...but sunshine outside...and as i mentioned in the morning i got spoilt with coffee in bed...after a hot shower we went for breakfast at non other than Harrie's pancakes http://www.harriespancakes.com/ (There are 4 in the country....Dullstroom, Graskop, Pta and the last one I forgot)....Kim went with a savoury pancake (chicken and mushroom) while i went for sweet (cinnamon, sugar and banana....so cool, they placed a whole banana in it...not sliced up....very clever)....and the pancakes were good... Our yummie pancakes A quick stroll through Dullstroom...the sweet shop (which has some nice truffles...amarula and marzian logs) is worth a visit as well as the clock shop (huge shops which has every type and colour clock you can imagine)....the cheese shop (disappointing....not much)....at 10:40 we were on our way again.....towards Lydenburg, about a 40min drive, and then made our way up the Longtom Pass....now for bikers it is
