Dresses....not good....not a success...disappointed....oh well...lets hope tomorrow is better for the dresses....the dinner...excellento.....Went to High Street....would have thought u are in a first world country and ate at a spanish tapas place....really good...we just ordered a few, then more and later more, really slow casual dinner....believe it or not before dinner i found shoes....now anyone that knows me well knows how i hate shoe shopping or should i say really disslike it and i can never find shoes....well never say never....hardly ever i manage to find shoes....so what a surprise when i...out of us three woman....was the one that found a pair of heels...wow...anyway...back to the food....loved the gambas...they came in like a tomato chilli butter sauce...amazing....and also the cheese was fab.....whole meal great...but those two were my favourite...sangria went down rather well...so a successful dinner place....here some pics

Next day....successful dress shopping....first a stop at the coffebean and tea leaf for yes, some cappuccino and a choc macademia cookie.....

Like i said....dress shopping successful....my sis loved the one dress and both my mom and i thought exactly the same....amazing....but she still loves the one in Hong Kong....so soon she will have to make a decision.....rather her than me.....i know which one i prefer...but its her dress...so her choice......lunch was sushi.....yummy....we sat outside...i really dont like aircon....my sis almost died....my mom and i loved it....we shared ahi tuna carpaccio, spicy tuna roll, soft shell crab roll, salmon sashimi and uni sashimi....uni for those who dont know....its sea-urchent.....all very good....here some pics.....man....im getting hungry.....but soon we are going for drinks and dinner...so i guess ill survive...actually while i am writing this i am eating a fresh mango....never had such good mango before, and we are spoilt in south africa...but this....unreal....anyway back to manila....But first some lunch pics.....

After lunch some attempt to shoe shop, of course i found a chocolate shop.....wow....my mouth just opened in awe.....truffels..... desserts....the shapes....amazing.....they were made by the Shangi La pastry chef....so i guess one could expect them to be nothing less than WOW! My sis and i chose 6 and said we would shaRe them.....in order....Green tea, dark choc, white choc with raspberry, caramel and salt, pistaccio and passion fruit and caramel....so now.....lets guess which ones i chose.....hmmmm.....anyway....ill let u know how they tasted when im done with trying all of them.....here are some pics....

And guess who found another two pairs od shoes....yes me....but one i didnt choose...cause its the shoe that im wearing as a bridesmaid at my sisters wedding.....the other one...i did choose....After that...time to get our luggage at the apartment and leave for Cebu......here is a pic from the view over Manila....what a view...amazing....cheers.....oh....and im also gonna add a photo of me....just for fun....

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
