Golf and PTA dinner

So.....got back from the cape....next day.....golf at randpark ridge....well...not sure if what i was doing u can call golf....i played a shocker of note...oh well..The rest of the four ball.....my mom...amazing game....kim amazing game....claudia even worse than me.....i guess that is what golf is...one day great next day can be a shocker....hmmmm...im playing again tomorrow....i hope its better....cause otherwise i know im not a Happy person......the golf course though very nice...there are two courses, we played bush.....(dont remember the end of it)..... Then had a drink and the rest of the day we spent lazying around....and yes....that included going for coffee....parktown north....coffee rotissiery on 4th.....love the coffee....and lets not talk about the carrot cake....im very fussy cause mine is amazing...but this one...wow.....HeRe is a pic

Like i mentioned above....next day was golf again...this time Bryanston country club....what the hell....i have never had such an amazing game....105 shots and 32 points.....unreal.....loved it.....we had a little competition...and im peoud to say....females won....well done mom......

It was such a fun morning out....and again.....rest of the day chilled....ended up in Sandton...lunch at Walnut Grove cafe.....it used to be this old fashioned granny cafe...but man...they revamped the whole thing...looks amazing...so we ordered some coffee...here is a pic..

And the food walking past looked so good...we ended up ordering a wrap and salad.....the wrap came on a cheeseboard...it was presented so well and it tasted great.....i would def go back.....here is a pic of the wrap...

Evening....we were invited to friends in pretoria....willie is an amazing cook.....and david a great artist....evening started off with some verve clique champagne and savoury mini pies stiffed with smoked salmon and cream cheese....nice....then david showed us his art pieces while willie prepared the starters....loved all the explanations and stories behind davids art.....he had different series for example the blue face or the finnish.....there were two painting that stood out for me...one was a large one from the finnish series which looked like autumn.....and the other one was a small green one...abstract both of them....Starter was prawns in a type tempura batter witH a caramalized peach and some ceasar saad....great start to the meal.....Mains was also as great as the starter....fillet cooked to perfectionnwith some asparagus and leaks, wild rice and a baby stuffed pepper....great....but portion i struggled with...i didnt need the baby pepper...althouh fab...it was a little too much.....dessert...yummy....dense choc cake with sme Hagen Ice cream and whipped cream..i would have prefered either cream or ice cream not both....but the choc cake....i could easily have had seconds....great stuff....here are pics.....i know you will start drooling....so soon kim is leaving and im off to go visit my sis....so next blog will be.....ull have to wait and see....And here are pics from the dinner....

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
