Franschhoek......part 2

So....where did i end....oh yes.....the lunch....so at the lunch place i asked which wine farms we could taste bubbly....and they told us a few...never tried Moreson....so why not try something new......hmmmmm....as we arrived we asked that we could just taste bubbly....no problem....5 different ones.....great......first one....the best.....then the more expensive ones, funny enough not my favourite and their signature one...called molly....good...but first one...the normal brut....my favourite....actually i really liked it....smooth and light....then again...that is what a bubbly should be like...right? Im just gonna say i am right.....then we thought we should head to the guesthouse for a bit...of course i felt like chocolate...so we had to stop at the chocolatier cafe for some truffles...equador choc ones and champagne ones....the choc ones....wow....so good.....damn.....here is a pic of the little shop....so if u ever go there....go visit it snd do yourself a favour and buy some equador choc truffles.....

I think we spent like 30min at the guesthouse before kim said....hmmmmm...i saw this wine tasting that is open until 6.... Lets go there...and off we went again....to i guess the last one....grand provence....nice wine estate, nice tasting area, wine was good....not overly exciting....the was also a small art and deli shop and an art gallery....interesting....i loved the elephant art thingy on the property....here is a pic of the wine tasting area and me and my elephant....

After that....definitely time for some dinner...hmmmm...picking the restaurant...interesting story...ill keep it short....we walked up the main road....from front to end....3 times....the funny thing is....we looked at all the menus but somehow kim thought the french connection sounded too french....in the end i asked what do u feel like....schnitzel....me fish.....so i said lets just look at the menu at french connection and guess what....fish AND schnitzel..so there we went....man...that was actually funny....we were laughing.....the best part...kim ended eating t bone and me fillet....Hmmmmm.....im still grinning about that....very very good food....would def go back...so all the places we tried...grillroom, french connection and cotage fromage...all a def must try......we left the restaurant quite early....were tired.....but on a nice fire in the cottage and enjoyed the evening there....

Next day....left early and drove to cape point and cape of good hope...after all...i think that is a place u need to see...and i knw people always say....have u seen table mountain, waterfront, camps bay, wine areas and of course cape point and cape of good hope.....i have been there a couple of times...but i still think its really pretty....and here are some pics....

After that we drove back over chapmans peak, had lunch at hout bay, found a really nice deli, i was very surprised cause i have never liked the restaurants at hout bay....so kim had a karoo lamb burger, i had some type of italian roasted vegatables and carprese salad stack, really good.....so yes....good place, little hidden, not on the main road, very nice....then we headed back towards cape town via constantia....and guess what...we found another wine farm and decided...one last tasting...five wines....constantia glen....amazing wine farm, really pretty, great views and wines were fab....i loved the white wines.....

So.....time running out...we rushed to the airpot just to find out our plane was delayed by 50 min, oh well....time for some vide e cappuccino and rocky brownie (bloody sweet but good)...then on the plane and back to jhb.....ate some plane food...and im mentioning it cause i must admit the chicken and pasta was actually very nice......next blog.....some golf and great dinner being cooked by friends.....bye bye.....
