Days before Philippines....and start.....

So.....Saturday we spent a lazy day.....long cheese brunch with crispy bread....well....it was supposed to be crispy, but somehow my dad managed to pick the one loaf that wasnt crispy.....oh well...So i went with the german laugenbrot....made the bread decision easy....cheeses....like always huge selection....love it.....afterwards time to run some erranDs and then show Kim Monte Casino....ended up eating ice cream, pistaccio and cherry....not comparable to italian ice cream, and at the wine bar for a drink and then some more errands...day just flew by...dinner....turn n tender...i mean one has to try south african meat when here to visit....starters kim had some lamb tails....hardly any meat on them....so a little disappointed....but i knew the argentinian style meat should not disappoint.....me...of course fillet....kim chose sirloin...both argentinian style....amazing.....kim loved it...phew......and meat cooked to perfection....just love the parkhurst branch, cosy and intimate........

Sunday....played golf again...this will be my last time for a while..cause gonna go visit my sis and then its almost time to get back onto the ship.....so i was hopeing for a good ending....hmmmm....never mind....played a shocker of note....kim played well....so at least one of us.....but man....i played shockingly.....oh well...rest of the day was great so who cares....kim eNded up braaing for us at night....ostrich and lamb....app. lamb was nice....i wouldnt know....dont eat lamb....but the ostrich was great....Here some pics from the day.....

So.....time for the philiPpines has arrived....long flight to hong kong and then from there to manila where we would stay for a night before moving onto where my sister lives, cebu. Before flight...time for some bubbly at the lounge.....ate some dinner on the plane...watched some movies....arrived in hong kong....had a quick shower and cappuccino then onto manila where my sister met us at the airport.....off to her mom in laws flat...and then lunch.....something called shabu-shabu.....man.....was good....its like a meat fondue...broth and raw cabbage, mushrooms and carrots...cook it and dip in two different sauces....very good.....here is a pic of the shabu-shabu....

The one is a soya sauce based sauce, the other one peanuts...yummy...u also need to add three things into sauce, garlic, spring onions and some red raddish thingy.....yummy.....now...off to find a good cappuccino, or A least i hope and then to try on some wedding dresses and look for shoes.....cheers for today.....tomorrow....ill tell u about the rest of the manila trip......and cebu arrival......goodnite......

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
