Food....food and food....did i say food.....

So.....i was invited to my friends place for some nice dinner.....yummy cause when she cooks she cooks for an army......and she cooks great.....so as i arrived the smell hit me....yay...and like i said thank god that i brought my hunger.....i made the salad....she made some lentil puree, rice....chicken curry and the best pArt......prawn curry.....man.....so good.....We had some good red wine, good food...and yes....good comany for sure.....so here is a pic of the pawn curry (you know...the sauce is what made it...wow)

On Friday morning....brunch time....new place....like i said the Food Lovers Market at the Nicol shoPping centre is amazing....for shopping....so why not try out their restaurant...menu looked good....from French breakfast to croissants to French toast......etc etc....so Friday i met a friend there for brunch.......menu quite extensive and choices many.....i, in the end, went with the cheese platter, it said selection of local and international cheese with jam, nuts and breaD of choice...so up my alley.......hmmmmm.......my friend, liezel, went with the pear and goat cheese salad with citrus segments and citrus dressing.....now im not gonna go into details...but disappointment....from running out of nuts, to local cheese only (various goudas) to pears from the tin (yes at a fruit and veg place) to the goat cheese just a little on the ciabatta....and i could go on and on......I was highly, highly disappointed and DEF will NOT go back....here are pics....yes...cheese platter looks nice BUt not when it says local and international cheese and nice nuts.....One nice thing....the basil which was fried or something....not even the camembert was nice.....anyways....like i said def dont go back...but glad i tried.....

But lets end this blog in a positive tone.....in the aFternoon i went to the driving range....yes....believe it or not i did...(i even got a phone call to double check i was on the driving range....i guess it is hard to believe that im not sitting at a coffee shop somewhere having some cappuccino.....but yes....sometimes i am able to not have a cappuccino...Haha...But i do like one cappuccino a day).....i hit some balls...but decided it might be a good idea to take a lesson...so yes...Monday afternoon im taking a lesson.....lets hope it will help my golf game on Tuesday...

In the evening my parents decided to go to Pomodoro for dinner....and yes....why the hell not join them....its an ItaliAN restaurant at the Morningside shopping centre....with a wide variety of Italian food....starters range from salmon carapccio to bruschette to calamari....mains range from veal al limone to linefish with capers and olives to pizza and pasta......so yes....im sure everyone will find something to their taste (great that u can also have pasta half portion)...first off was some forcaccio bread with some tomato dip and while my dad had a gin and tonic my mom and i decided to order a bottle of Villiera bubbly.....good start to the evening.....all the food amazing....my best were (tried everyones food) the starters....proscuitto and mozzarella, salmon carpaccio and ostrich carpaccio....the ostrich carpaccio had this vinegrette on....was really good.....would def order that again....something different but great...i would also like to try the steak tartar....also looked great...desserts...no space...but the ones i saw going past.....looked good....maybe a crepe susette or the yes....you guessed...my favourite (after cheese), tiramisu.....actually for my dadS birthday thingy ill do my tiramisu....so here sOme pics from the restaurant.....

So....all in all....a good StArt to the weekend...from perfect Indian curry to great Italian food....and some practice at golf.....next blog will be about the actual weekend....Saturday brunch at.... (well you will have to wai and find out) to xyz (Also have to wait and read) on Sunday....so yes some plans that ill be ale to write about....now im off to sending some emails before sleep time.....yes...quite early but got woken p early this morning....6:30 (def not complaining)..... But now i am tired......goodnite.....
