Greek islands.....i was lucky to join my husband on the ship for one week and enjoy the Greek islands and get spoilt by him.....it was an amazing week...i loved every moment....of course i have seen the Greek islands before....which was great cause i did not feel rushed to go outside and explore...i knew the places and we knew where to go and what we wanted to do.....just a relaxing time...
First off was Corfu.....i decided to walk to town..took me about 30min from the ship exit and take a stroll through the old town....lots of souvenir shops and coffee shops....so that is what i ended up doing.....getting cappuccino....in between the two cappuccino places i had a typical Greek pastry.....the baklava.....from one of the oldest pastry shops in Corfu....now let me share some pics and then i can give you the verdict on the cappuccino....
Cappuccino in Corfu Old Town
Don't ask me where i was....somewhere in the old town....it was in a tiny little cafe/ bar....the coffee was very strong (great), the foam thick....i would have liked a little bit more foam.....there was cookie (no choc sprinkle though)....but all in all...a very good cappuccino.....after that i found this pastry shop....as you can read below it has been in existence since 1924....yummie baklava....also see below....

Although the pieces look tiny...they are just a perfect size cause they are so damn sweet....after that it was time for another cappuccino...at another spot....this was no longer in the old town, but rather a spot on the walk back to the ship...the coffee was a little too milky....the foam was delicious and thick (could have been a bit more), no cookie...and no sprinkles....but not too bad...see below...
Cappuccino on the way back to the ship
Next port....Santorini.....this time we went to try some yummie Gyros at Kim's favourite place...have a look at the name...
Gyros at Obelix
Of course i took a pic...and of course i am going to share it with you.....pork was the chosen meat.....and then it contained tomatoes, greek yoghurt, paprika, red onions, chips and cucumber....

After that it was time to find a coffee and dessert place....we found this amazing terrace cafe....we sat on the roof...in these sun chairs (so damn comfortable), it was so enjoyable...most of the people were eating this dessert in a glas jar, so i asked the waiter what it was....and then decided to also order one....Greek yoghurt with honey and walnuts...yummie....Kim had a cigar and it was just such a nice afternoon...soaking in some sun...having a perfect view....amazing....verdict on the cappuccino....delicious...thick foam...a lot of foam...strong coffee, perfect size cup....but no choc sprinkles and no cookie...but i guess i had my Greek yoghurt dessert so i was happy...i was glad that the cappuccino was good....cost €5.00..... WOW....oh well....we had a great afternoon.....let me share a few pics with you....

After soaking the sun we took the cable car back down....took the tender back to the ship...and enjoyed our dinner on the terrace back on the Jade......have a look at the beautiful view from the ship of Santorini.....specifically of Fira....
