Next up.....Caorle and Padova.....they will be in the same blog cause both are not too much writing and not too many pics...but both are worth mentioning....first up...Caorle...this is about 30km from Jesolo di Lido....so not too bad....but what a very cute place...it is also a beach place of note...lots of hotels on the beach, like Jesolo di Lido but it has a small little town as opposed to a whole beach strip full of restaurants and souvenir shops (Jesolo di Lido).....in fact it has all these colourful little houses and it reminded me a little bit of the island outside Venice called Burano....it was rather windy and unfortunately we were there during Siesta time...but still we enjoyed a little stroll through the town...let me share some pics of the town with you.

Of course we cannot just walk around and not eat or drink something....so we decided to take a seat and have some ice cream....an amarena coupe....and man...it was like in Germany...so biiiiiig....in Germany meant for one person...but for us....meant for many many people....the three of us struggled on it....and we did not manage to finish it....but i must say....it was very very yummie...let me share a pic with you...

It is really a pretty little village/ town and i would have liked to explore some shops, however with the wind We did not want to wait until siesta was finished...but i would definitely recommend to go there...just to see the beautiful colourful buildings.....now let us talk about Padova....
Padova...we parked near the Basilica di Santa Giustina....sadly under renovation but quite a nice looking Basilica....from the outside....

After that we walked to the Prato della Valle, which literally is right next to it....it is one of the largest piazzas in Europe...a lot of statues....quite a pretty sight...there was also a morning market selling fresh fruits, veggies etc....let me share a pic with you....

Then a snowmile further, a saying in German, not sure whether it exists in English, meaning, we walked a little bit further to Basilica di Sant' Antonio....on the way as you might remember we stopped for that horrible cappuccino (i mentioned in my previous blog) but arrival at the Basilica I must say was quite a sight....very impressive....we also went inside, and as most Italian churches it was beautiful.....let me share some pics.....

After that we wondered around the old town...we wanted to visit the oldest cafe in Padova called caffe Pedrocchi....but i must say yes, the building looked interesting, but the caffe looked like it had no atmosphere and wow...overpriced...hence we wondered some more until we found this cute little pastery/ snackbar and decided to have some aperitifo there....and that was rather nice...the old town...well...has some of the well known brands...but other than that...its ok...for me the shops nothing special...the town nice....but nothing i would run back to....but i am still glad we went cause now i can have an opinion....hahaha...for now...cheers from me....next blog....that will be a surprise cause even im not quite sure yet.....so.....bye bye....
