Part 2
So....wots left...mykonos and katakolon and one dinner with my friends at Papas....then time for sign off....
Mykonos is an island well known for its beaches...lots of gay beaches....and its also hell of a pretty just to walk around...oh yes, almost forgot...also know for its nightlife, but we do not do any overnights there, so i wouldnt know....so....today i played tourist guide for Maria and Lucia....Lucia had been there before but not all the spots and Maria, never....so needed to show her the top attractions....
-Famous white church
-Peter, the pelican
-Little Venice
-Windmills
And yes...in short time we managed...of course there are other attractiosn
-Paradise beAch
-Delos island
-Greek food
But...one thing at a time...hahaha...first thing...Peter, the pelican. He is kind of a legend at Mykonos...if you go there you have to visit him, right on the seafront and ask anyone for him and they will guide you, near Nicos taverna...and yes...of course i have a pic
Afte that...time for the little white church....i have seen it so often..but it really is beautiful...this church you can spot walking along the waterfront promenade (sea on the right), towards little Venice...right in the bend...cannnot miss it and it makes for amazing pics....
Then strolling through the narrow paths, buying some Oozo (local Greek spirit...not my taste...but like i mentioned...part of my souvenirs now).....towards little Venice...again...if we would have had time...would be nice to eat a lunch at one of the tavernas overlooking the sea, takingin the sea breeze...just enjoying...but this time...time was not on our side....so some pics....
Afte that time for the windmills....amazing again...i have seen them before but love them everytime....
So as mentioned thise are the highlights...food wise...def the tapas...the aubergine puree, tzatziki, hummous, eggplant ragout, stuffed vineleaves, halloumi, octopus salad, grilled or fried calamari...cannot go wrong...but some pics will come when i go there next contract....haha
So after Mykonos there was Katakolon....where kim and i had our first dat...so back we went to the place of our first date and food amazing...grilled octopus, fried cheese, Greek salad and deep fried sardines and nor to forget divine fresh, crispy bread with home-made olive oil....just so wow....
So that was almost all of the last cruise...one final dinner at Papas with my friends....close friends who didnt have to work with of course some bubbly that kim organised for us.....i has carpaccio...then risotto and prawns and dessert, the divine tiramisu...and as mentioned it is fab....
