Last Limassol....Alanya and Istanbul......

So...this would be the last time for going to Limassol, Alanya and Istanbul....well at least for some time...never know....Kim had never been out in Limassol...so this time i made sure i managed to drag him out with me....of course i wanted him to at least see it once..cute little town..some nice shops as well as restaurants...and a very good ice cream parlour....my schedule permitted me to go out which of course helps...hahaha.....

Lunch consisted of a Greek kebab (def NOT similar to the Turkish kebab) and a platter of haloumi....my favourite...grilled....lots of lemon and tons of salt....amazing...so lunch..def a success....here a pic

And of course....a day without ice cream and cappuccino is not finished...even though the ice cream was in actual fact BEFORE the main meal BUT the cappuccino was afterwards....and yes...ice cream was matena and pistaccio...did i have o tell you that...i dont think so.....

next day Alanya..And it was my half day off...first i was a little worried...wind was very strong...so kim couldnt leave the ship.....but so happy that the wind died down...managed to get off the ship together....plan was to go up to the castle.....no...we were not going to walk...main reason...long way...steep......and it was rather warm...that of course i only reAlised once i was dressed inappropriately....oh well...

and damn....we got scammed.....here is how...we walked out of the ship and looked for a taxi driver that would take us up to the castle..we found one (decent price) and he told us he would take us up to the castle and the price included the entrance to the castle...well...long story short...he dropped us off...took some pics of kim and me...but where he dropped us off...was not where the entrance fee needed to be paid...this we found out only later when walking around the castle area...we suddenly saw the entrance fee place, and we were like...damn, we just got scammed....oh well...all part of being a tourist...oops...damn...BUT one def good thing...kim and i got some good pics of HIM & ME...so at least something good...and yes...we did enjoy walking around the castle area and exploring..and of course taking pics....and here are some pics....

For the way down we decided to walk....quite a steep walk down...but worth it...good view and saw some more amazing sites..and of course we did stop for something to drink...but we were so thirsty that cool drinks were in order...def no coffee...and yes...i guess that is a first for me...wow.....here some more pics of us walking down...and some worthwhile scenes...nature pics....

So all in all a good half day off...and glad that the wind calmed down and kim managed to come outside with me...so yes...i was also gonna tell you about Istanbul in this blog....but you know what....im gonna keep that for the next blog...so cheers from me..chat very soon...hope u enjoyed the summary.....

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
