Last cruise....part 1

So....repo over and with that we have now arrived in Venice....today kim's sister and family was leaving and at least my schedule permitted us to meet them in Venice for a short bit...at least to say good bye.....we strolled the streets a little and then kim showed them the "easiest" way to get to rialto and san marco.....we on the other hand decided ice cream and coffee sounds like an excellent plan....yes....pistaccio and amarena and we were DEF NOT disappointed....man it tasted so good...so real....so divine....and then headed towards our favourite coffee spot...thick foam and of course the famous almond/ marzipan pastry...yummy....and it did not disappointed....tastes as good as we remembered....jst to make you jealous....

This cruise would be our last one before signing off....so that felt good....first port Corfu....lucia and i decided to go and explore a little and try and find a KUMQUAT liquor....thats like a small tangarine....famous liquor in Corfu...of course we were successful...and yes...also found a choc shop...bought this large truffle....choc stuffed with chestnut....damn...excellento...next time i must buy more than one....and some cappuccino...also amazing...thick thick foam...just so fab....so again....a good day out...here some pics....

Next day....santorini....my schedule did not permit me to go out....so....kim made up by taking me out for dinner...le bistro....i was so excited...had not been there in a while...and really felt like that pork dish...i still wanna try the fillet with the pepper sauce...but somehow....last minute....i changed my mind....and i ended up with the pork....kim with the duck....starters...i was boring...asparagus....(i promise next contract i will try a starter i have not had before) and kim had the mussels....at least one of us was different....hahaha.....dessert...affogato and cheese platter....and i think we all know which was mine...hehehe...

Sorry....this blog was a little narrative...but sometimes i need to write a little different...and need to be a little narrative...cause i want to get all info in....and share...so anyway...let me stop....so have a good evening...and ill chat to you all very soon again....news on my last few days before signing off....and of course the sign off......vacation time......and my sister is getting married time...and some secret time (remember, a couple of blogs ago i said kim and i have something which im excitec about back in SA....well soon ill tell you.....)

Also....what i have concluded...when i go to a coffee place now...im gonna write the name and address...cause after all...im writing this to also help you...if you travel...what to avoid and where to go....so...here is something i need to work on...be a little bit more specific...dont you agree?

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
