So....i know last time i was going to write about these special drinks that i had....somehow there was not enough space anymore...and i guess it deserves its own blog....own mention.....so Liezel, a friend, said to me that the Westcliff hotel does these special drinks....and her and i both being into these food type thingys.....she thought it would be a good idea to introduce me to this....so why not go on a Friday late Afternoon for some drinks and the sunset...man what a good idea.....so we met around 5..... And there Are 4 molecular type drinks...2 shots and 2 Martinis.....we decided to try 3.... But first here is a pic of the view and a pic of Liezel and me.....Wot a cool pool....or so i was told by a friend who i sent the pics to before writing this blog....just to make him a little jealous....And yes...it is a cool pool....

So we ordered the 3 drinks...but unfortunately the waiter forgot the VERY important fact...the drinks would take 30min to prepare....hmmm....if we would have known that we would have ordered a pre drink...but anyway....so we just enjoyed chatting amd chilling....And watching it get dark....here is a pic of the night view....you know its actually amazing how quickly it becomes dark....

So...when our drinks came the main bar guy who actually works with the Wits university at the lab to invent these drinks came and explained how they were made and how they should be consumed.....it was so cool....so we ordered the tequilla shot, the citrius martini and the passion fruit snd sage martini.....the citrius one came with grape and blueberry caviar and of course the martini component....divine....the caviar thingy was what made it...texture very interesting....the passion fruit one came with panacotta and jelly and a martini...also very good....the tequilla one....had salt..Lemon wages which had been soaked in tequilla for 25 days and tequilla foam....honestly...i loved it....at the end he said he is updating his menu and hopefully from 1st Sept he will have his new menu...guess who is def going back...yes...u guessed right... me...here is a pic of the citrius martini and tequilla shot.....

So...ill def go back when the new drinks come....but prob ill go back middle of Sept...just to make sure the drinks are def on menu and they are practiced....hmmmm......

And now....some change of topic...the day after my drinks....Saturday....how better to start a Saturday morning than with a cheese and yummy, fresh bread brunch....and yes....we all know how much i love cheese....i think i was actually known on the ship...eating cheese...def a strength of mine...hate to admit...was caught a couple of times sitting infront of the fridge cutting pieces of cheese......yes....fridge open, knife in hand, cutting and eating cheese....it just shows you what a weakness i have for cheese.....here is a pic of the brunch....The cheeses....brie, camembert, emmenthal, mascarpone type cheese, appenzeller, st pauli....yummy...and yes....hands down favourite...camembert....the one hat was DEF missing...gruyere....somehow my brain was not thinking when i went shopping....i guess my brain was occupied with other thought when i was shopping....oh well.....

So...thats enough for today...im tired now....need some rest because tomorrow i am playing golf....and im already one down on a competition...so better jack up....next blog will be on Greek Fiesta.....yes, i already know that cause im slightly behind...not as bad as on the ship when, i think, it was almost a week at one stage......ok now...goodnite.....
