corfu and Santorini

So.....last week.....last Corfu......no drill and i was off from 11:30 until 14:00.....so some time to go out.....was nOt in the mood to rush into town though.....so decided to take a stroll towards the town and find a nice coffee shop with some wifi.....as i walked, i saw this comfy lounge type coffee shop, relaxed music, outside couches.....hmmmmmm...very inviting....so that is what i did....sat down...ordered a decent cappuchino and just enjoyed writing my blog, writing emails and watching people......work past quickly and tonight Mark and Alessio, two friends, took me to Le Bistro for dinner......and yes, we had Chianti wine....and yes, i had scallops to start with....and no....i did not have a main that inknew....i tried something new....bouillabais.....wow.....so good.....would def eat that again.....dessert......i have tried the choc napoleon (was not a fan), i have tried the cheese plate (great) and i have had the creme brullee (great)... But tonight i felt adventerous.....apple tarte tatin.....wow.....so so good.....i even ate half of Mark's....i must admit....i did feel like a pig afterwards and felt extremely stuffed......here are some pics.....

After dinner it was time to go to Bali Hai (guest bar outside on deck 13).....Mark had received a big tip from a guest and decided to pay a drink for all team members.....man how generous.....not sure if i would have done that....honestly.....i dont think so......the team drink session turned into some of us staying on until early morning in the Spinnaker.....dancing, chatting having a blast.......not sleeping too much......but its my last week....but funny enough.....i end up on the internet every nite after going out...jst because....hmmm.....here are some pics......

Today....i was amazed at the schedule....i was not supposed to be able to go out....cause i was out last week....but hmmmmmm....i think because it is my last week, The supervisor thought she could maybe be a little nice to me.....so i was off at 1500..... Open tender was at 1530.... Perfect....i went with two people thatilike from my team, Blanca and Michele. So we took the tender boat....funny....i washed my hair after shift...so they were sopping wet when i went out...by the time we reached land....my hair was completely dry....talk about wind.....cable car que was long....but what the hell...was def NOT gonna walk.....once we reached the top....we had a goal....take pics....show Blanca some less touristy spots and then find a nice place to eat something small and chill......and of course the place needed to have a view....Here are some pics of us roaming around.....

After roaming around it was time to find a spot to eat....and it was so hot....so of course nothing too heavy...?yes....Greek salad.....man was good and then we shared a portion of mussels......and yes....bread with olive oil.....Food like always amazing....its interesting the tomatoes just taste so much more tomatoey.....im sure that doesnt make sense.....but they are not watery at all.....they are so dark red and juicy.....am i hungry???? I think so......also in order was a glass of Greek house wine....white.....yummy.....here is a pic....
Afterwards....Time for walk down......and yes.....an ice cream...went to the ice cream spot that i knew from before....cause at least i knew it was good there.....i chose cream and cookie....yummy....yes, for once i didnt take pistaccio...thought once i should have something very different......and then walk down......and back onto tender boats and back to ship.....but that was not the end of the evening....here a pic from our way down.....

So.....that was not the end of the evening....why go to bed at 8pm....it is my last week....and going to room just makes me depressed......want some company......so Blanca and i collected a bottle of red wine from the crew bar and chilled in the cabin....at the end we did end up at Spinnaker for a little bit though......just some drinks and dancing.....nice evening......

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
