2 restaurants and drinks.....
So.......lets chat about the restaurants i have been to lately....and a place where i had some drinks....But really different ones...hence it is worth mentioning......
So a couple of days Ago, i met a friend at this new shopping centre called Nicole Way....
It has many restaurants, large food stores and some French stores, which we all know i LOVE......man....nice mugs, photo-frames and all little things to have in the house....i could spend hrs on end in there.....that is so my style....actually ill take some pics once and write a blog.....but only if i run out of other stuff....haha.....anyway....so yes, those 2 French shops love...there is also a chocolate coffee shop which i wanna try and the Food Lovers market......man amazing....the meats, cheeses, fruits, breads....seafood....wow... And the sushi platters (which we had for dinner the other night), amazing.....here is a pic.....(sorry was not gonna write about it....but mAn it was good...so i guess it deserves to be mentioned).....but i have to say the sushi platters with the seeweed on the ship.....still better.....oh yes....the other thing i loved about the shop...there are so many raw coffee beans and yougetotry coffee and then youcan buy the beans...so cool...then grind them at home or they can grind for you....nice.....Anyways....here is the pic.....
So now back to what i was gonna write about.....restaurants.....so my friend felt like some fish so we ended up going to Fishmonger (never been to one, so i was looking forward)..... We had such a good time...havent seen each other in ages, so of course a lot of catching up.....food wise.....we had haloumi to start with....and yes....it was very nice....i love haloumi....actually it was interesting that in Greece i struggled to find haloumi in a lot of places, when i asked once why it is so difficult they said it is a Cypriot Greek cheese....oh sorry....so.....does that mean you cannot have it in Greece Greece......hmmmmm....anyway.....starters def eat that again.....mains....hmmmm.....was a little dissappointed by two things....there is no tuna or salmon on the menu....so i chose a Vietamese fish.....with cajun spices.....the fish's name was like pangas or something like that....And secondly, my friend asked for the line fish of the day.....not a difficult request....and the answer came....sorry we do not have line fish.....hmmmmm....a little strange i think.....so she ended up orderinG some platter with calamari and prawns....was a little big though and she had to take home....so it was nice....not over-the-moon nice though...but we had a good evening so one can actually let the food go.....prices....fair.....here is a pic of my food and for shits and giggles ill add a photo of my outfit...hahaha....
So....more restaurant and food talking....hmmmm...again...i didnt choose the best time to write this....morning beforE eating breakfast....if after breakfast so much better cause at least i would not be hungry....so im just getting more hungry....but you know what....at least im not writing about brunch....would be so much worse.....so....we went to Bistro Vine in Parkhurst....one of my favourite spots....you can go there without thinking hmmmm...i feel like fish, pasta, meat.....whatever...cause you will always find something on the menu...and there is a chalk board with a couple of specials that change every now and again.....so for starters i had these zuccini fritters with smoked salmon....divine....my mom had butternut snd mozzarella springrolls (and yes we ended up doing half half because both were great), my dad....oysters, nothing new, but he ended up trying ours saying that next time he must def have one, he prefered the fritter one though.....mains ranged, at our table, from mussels to sirloin to prawns.....good food....the prawns came with this Vietamese sauce (coconut, peanuts etc), the mussles came in a creamy white wine sauce and the sirloin came with chips and peppercorn sauce.....what a great meal...and of course lets not forget about the bubbly.... Villiera....nice choice.....here are some selected pics....
So...yes...i was gonna write about my special molecular drinks also...but im gonna leAve that for my next blog cause now i am hungry and need to have a good cheese breakfast/ brunch and fresh crispy bread....yummy......
