Golf

So....been back...what like 10 days.....been playing some golf....good to get out....relax and feel like im doing some kind of exercise.....been a while since i last played....oh well....wot i like about golf....u can play with someone that is much better than u and u can still win against them....and u can play golf forever.....so many sports after a certain age u have to give up...not golf......and yes....u can still have fun at golf cause u hit the ball and then there is a small rest while u walk to ur next ball...u cAn talk, gossip etc etc.......

So played golf....unfortunately the course has been very dry....yes, its winter in south africa but it still looks kind of terrible..the good part is, the ball rolls quite a bit....here are some pics....

 
So....i was quite amazed...first round was actually quite acceptable....good for me..and guess that is what will make me go back...wonder if second round would also be like that....hmmmmm......well let me spare u with the anticipation and ill just tell u..second time playing this week...shocker of note..I guess my mid was preoccupied with other things..And although i was physically present....mentally i was not....and yes golf is a physical as much as mental game..Prob more mental...so a shocker of note....here are some more pics though..

But i guess the main thing...im having fun...so ill be back on friday....AND hopefully i will have a good round...need to practice...cause have a friend ill play with who has a much lower handicap...and need to be able to half play decent....hmmmmm....ok....so i better practice some more..... But like i said it has been fun....weather has been amazing....first day we played still quite chilli...but the second day...we teed off at 7:50 and by the third hole i was in my sleeveless top.....so it was warm....so nice to play golf in weather like his.....the great part about playing early is u can still enjoy the rest of ur day afterwards.....and yes...i have been having more coffees and been cooking...and exploring the new shopping centre...Nicole Way.....but that all is for another time....this time it is a short blog...Just about golf.....now im tired....had a good meal at Fishmonger with a friend and now it is time to sleep....goodnite.....

Wedding time.....my baby sister's wedding

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Nero Paella Lechon So....the make up artist was fabulous.....he did an amazing job, he also did the hair for the three of us...the other brides maides' make up and hair was done by his entourage.....here a pic of us getting ready for the big event.... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
