Sea days

So.....i think that title, sea days, is used the first time....wow....normally sea days are not that much to write about....but these two sea days i actually do have something to write about.....so...both mornings i was off at 7 form nightshift and then of course....time to jump in bed and snooze....lunch time kim and i decided to go and eat some sushi....excellento....from shrimp tempura...(but somehow the chef made it special, he placed eel and avo on top.....wow...excellento...def have to remember that for next time)....and mixed sashimi....from octopus to yellowtail to tuna to salmon....and a role with roasted cashews on top...not my favourite....wot a nice lunch....and to end of the "lunch" we went up to the villa and enjoyed a coffee on the terrace....very nice....in the afternoon kim dragged me to TRX...first i really did not wanna join...but in the end im glad i did...actually it is fun...works your entire body....its basically a stretch rope hanging from the ceiling and you do various exercises using your body weight...from lunges to bicep curls to stomach exercises....intersting...when my parents will be on the cruise....the next cruise they are coming...i will sign them up for a class also.....hope they will enjoy....but at least my mom has done TRX before....

The next day....similar but dissimilar.....i was off at 7....then time to sleep....and lunch we wanted to do with Paul and Pamela....so they said why not come up to the Garden Villa and we can order from the Cagney's menu.....now let me just go one step back....Cagney's restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch but only for VIP people and the breakfast consists of a cold buffet and an a la carte menu to order breakfast....and lunch is a totally different menu from dinner....well....i think 2 starters are the same....but that is it.....so what to have....hmmmm.....they needed to give me some time....cause....this was the first time i was looking at that menu.....yes....first time...so exciting.....in the end i went with the proscuitto and asparagus for starters.....here is a pic

As you can see it was served on a bed of rocket with some wild porcini and parmesan....the proscuitto is underneath...and the salad dressing...wow...dont know what it was....but honestly...it tasted similar to my secret dressing....hahaha...so very approved....mains i went with the mixed salad with swordfish on top....which, technically, is not on the menu...normally the mixed salad is just the mixed salad and the swordfish comes in a burger bun...but kim always does it...so i thought i could also try it like that.....here is a pic....

Again...very approved....wot a nice lunch....then time for dessert...and we got a surprise...because suddenly Lucky, the butler, came in with the special Cheesecake that said Merry Christmas on it....wow....how amazing...and we all know how much i like that cheesecake.....i was so full but still managed to indulge in my rather large piece of cake.....one never knows when i will get that cake again....so excellento....here is a pic of the cake...def deserves to be shown....

In the evening i had to go and take photos for our team photo which we send to the various other departments to wish them a Merry Christmas....here is the pic...thought id share with you....

So...that was my two sea days...spent indulging in yummy food from sushi to proscuitto to cheesecake...excellento....now another night at nightshift....starting to count down......but it has actually not been so bad...and the best part...tomorrow kim and i get to got out in Naples again without rush and when my parents come onto ship the next day and kim leaves....i dont have to ask any special favours for working times cause im nightshift...so no problemo...can fetch my parents at pier....can have a nice lunch all together and can then spend some more time with kim...without any special favours....actually this nightshift timing has worked out quite good....must admit....ok...enough now.....next blog will be about Naples....cheerio.....

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
