Civi and Christmas

So......the 22nd December has arrived...now you thinking...wow...sandra....you are behind in writing but the truth is....yes...maybe a little...but i really cannot post more than one blog at a time...and i do need to seperate events.....so this one deserves to be separated ......i stopped work around 7:30, perfect....now i could just go and chill a little with kim before my parents arrive and before he would have to do his official hand over.....then at 11 my parents were in the terminal.....of course i went to go greet them...man it was good to see them...and my gran, i call her Mutti, was also with them....i was so happy...and timing perfect.....Christmas and New Year i wouldnt have to be alone....cause kim was leaving...and that was hard......

The 3 of them got VIP status, but the highest one.....amazing...they would be able to eat breakfast and lunch at Cagney's, they would get a snack in the room every afternoon, priority disembarking etc.....so...why not start their holiday with a lunch with everyone at Cagney's....and for once...i didnt have to look at the menu...cause i felt like the asparagus with proscuitto and the swordfish on top of the salad....kim had the smoked salmon for starters....also looked nice...and yes of course i tasted....and it was fab.....here is a pic....

Mains ranged from swordfish to meat to pasta.....everyone was happy...and yes....the men had to have dessert....kim had his banana cream pie and my dad had his carrot cake.....was a really enjoyable lunch...here some more pics....

After lunch....spent my last two hrs with kim...well last two hrs for a while....and then time to say good bye.....not gonna go into details there.....he had a private taxi that would take him to rome and he would fly the next day....man....10 weeks went hell of a fast....wow.....3 more weeks for me...equivalent of 2 cruises....then also finito.....after kim had left i was smashed....and sleep was def in order....but somehow i managed to drag myself to dinner with my folks around 8....just to have a carprese....cause after all...during nightshift i get to order food....and trust me the spicy chicken wings.....amazing....wow...love them....here a pic of the carprese though...nice presentation....little stingy on the mozzarella....
First sea day....not gonna go into details...sleep....gym....and dinner at Le Bistro.....but i do have some pics....

Yes....i was boring....scallops.....salmon....cheese....but the rest of the table was a little more interesting.....my mom had coq au vin for mains....that is the middle pic above....and my dad had creme brulee for dessert...bottom pic....the first pic is me at the entrance of Le Bistro....the ship has decorated the inside really nicely....there are small Christmas trees everywhere....in the Aitrium, where i work, there are two large Christmas trees, a modern blue thing and a very big ginger bread house....as you can see from above...there is also Gingerbread houses all over the ship....every restaurant entrance has one...and yes...it is real Gingerbread and real biscuits....some Gingerbreads even have signs that state please do not remove anything...hahaha.....but i must say atmosphere is Christmasy....but very different...for me it doesnt feel so Christmasy....cause in Switzerland i was used to snow....in South Africa I was used to very hot....now is something in between....so very confusing.......hmmmmmm.....here a pic of the Aitrium.....

So before dinner there was Christmas Carols in the Aitrium.....what an atmosphere...the Aitrium was full of loud singing and joyous people....so great to see....and yes...Santa hats were worn....here is a pic....

Christmas eve we had a reservation in Cagney's.....and there is also where we exchanged gifts....my mom said some of my gifts are at home cause she was not going to carry them back and forth....yes....hahaha...but i got spoilt.....although Cagney's was very busy.....food was excellento.....everyone enjoyed.....some pics....the second pic is how they bring you french fries....and they have some truffle oil over them....really good....and they are crispy...so def worth ordering with a fillet mignon....which was cooked to perfection....and yes....i did have the shrimp cocktail....so what.....hahaha....very good.....and yes...the cheese platter....with butter and salt...and bread....

That night at work.....like during the whole day....we had to wear Santa hats....hmmmmm.....oh well....make sit Christmasy....her a pic....

Night passed....no stress.....work...read by book....finally have started 50 shades of grey....and do some blogging and writing emails...all good....now time to read some of my book...so cheers....chat again soon.....tomorrow Christmas day we would be in Alanya...mainly Muslim...so shops and restaurants should beopen...excellento.....ok...cheers now....
