Dubrovnik

WOW, WOW and WOW! So Julia and i were very lucky, we were both allowed to be escorts on the same tour, old Dubrovnik and village life. We left around 8:45 and returned just in time for my shift, arrived at 13:35 and shift was at 13:45. Im a master at time management, haha.

So first we drove to the old town, which was 10min by bus, not bad. When we arrived, our guide took us around the old town, which is all surrounded by a fortress. She spent about an hour walking around and telling us some interesting facts, here are some:
- only 1000 people live in the old town
- Dubrovnik has about 30 000
- some roofs and houses had to be reconstructed, you will notice red and earth coloured tiles
- To buy an apartment is very expensive, one square metre is between 3000 and 5000 euros.... Can u imagine.... Hell!

Julia and i also found the local market, bought some dried figs and dried lemon peel, of course they are coated in lots of sugar and some sugared almonds, divine.... And then we had an hour free time which meant coffee time... Cappucino was strong, foam was ok... But good strong coffee and we both had a jam doughnut, then off again with the bus to the village. On the way we stopped to take pics of Dubrovnik from above, what a view. The little village house was so cute, they played us some local music, then we tasted this brandy/ sherry and then we got local wine, bread, cheese and dalmatian ham, was so yummy.... Dessert apple struddle, not the best cause it was cold.... What an amazing tour, and honestly im not one for organised tours, this was fab. Tomorrow is Split, not sure whether i can get off cause we are tendering and my shift starts at 11:30.....damn.....

As we came back, i rushed to work, all good, got there just in time. At 6:45 was dinner in the garden cafe and then 7:30 we decided to go to the show. Was called Flesh & Fever and they did some acrobatics, juggling and magic, was good entertainment for 45min....now im writing this as u might have guessed and at 9:30 im on duty again until 1am....HELP....

So i have heard there is this blog application that would help me on the ipad, it will take some bandwidth to download, so next time i have free eifi ill try to get it so that i dont have to add all pics at the end, but for the moment it will just have to do.... So here they are.

First & second Dubrovnik old town, then me just outside of old , then our cheese and meat platter, view over Dubrovnik, Julia & me and last pic a building in the old town.
