My venture

So this was a very short journey....however it took time....we stopped in George...that was just before lunch time and as mentioned in my previous blog...we went to collect our new car...the Q7....there was still some paper work and afterwards it was time to find a lunch place...yes, in George....we found a nice Italian restaurant....had a little lunch and then drove to Knysna....Kim decided to drive the Q7 while dad and Thomas drove the bikes... Our new car guest house in Knysna was located on Leisure isle....beautiful....big garden and pool and big rooms...amazing...of course dinner was at the famous Knysna Heads pizzaria...with beautiful views..just amazing...its where the lagoon goes out into the sea...amazing.....let me share some pics View from Knysna Heads Me on the Knysna Heads Food was fab...and waiter was really amazing...what a character....next morning...it was a day of rest...a day we would spend in Knysna....all doing whatever they wanted...the only thing we said was......

This ride was again interesting....this time the boys got heat..and not a little a heat....like 40 degrees hear...we drove through some interesting villages/ towns....the Pass we did...again...amazing scenery...just so beautiful...we even had to make some stops to take pics.... Scenery Pass between Cape Agulhas and Oudshorrn Kim and Thomas More beauty Just breath-taking...yes...i have mentioned that before, but im allowed to say it again...we found a small little coffee shop along the way, had cappucchino...or let's say like this....we all ordered waters and cappucchino....and all the cappuchinos went back whole....you could not drink them...they were so terrible...the place was an old little farm house, cute, had all the potential, but the coffee really disappointed...did find this saying on the wall though which i liked.... The nice little sayings you get...this one i love Lunch....another little arb village...the heat was killing us....kim even went and wet his driving pants ...

Yes...let's not even get started at what is happening to my blog....i probably lost a few people along the way cause i have been slacking so much...no excuse other than hard work witht the new restaurant we opened in SA....but more about that in another blog....let me write about part II of the bike trip now....which was from Franshhoek to Cape Agulhas with a stop at Betty's Bay and Hermanus.....we left Franshhoek all in full gear..and yes...i do have a pic Kim and I on the bike.... Beautiful day...we took the following way....from Franshhoek over Sir Lowry's Pass....wow...the wind was hectic....in actual fact i thought we would be blown over....just after the Pass, Kim stopped and i actually had to get off the bike...my sunglasses then blew off my head....and Diana and me were almost blown away...really...no joke...so it was better for the men to handle the bikes without someone on the back....about 15km after Somerset West the wind died down...and back on the bike it wa...

So.....another bike trip...and this time...we would start our trip in CT and drive all the way up to JHB...of course not the straight route up...but rather a scenic route including the Garden Route...but ill explain....this time we had my dad as well as friends, a couple from Germany, with us...so 5 of us road-tripping...our journey started Friday the 14th Feb, yes, Valentine's day, in CT, Kim and i had just flown in while the rest of them had already spent 2 days in CT. Today the plan was to drive via Stellenbosh to Franshhoek....it was a beautiful day in CT....no clouds over tablemountain...and for anyone that knows a little but about CT that is quite an achievement....i didnt get the best pics....but maybe still worthwhile to share one.... Taking a pic of Tablemountain while driving the Harley i wanted to make a stop at my favourite coffee place in Stellenbosh...De Companje located in die oude bank....a beautiful bakery in the middle of Stellenbosh...i just love the whole deco...
