Oudshoorn to Knysna
So this was a very short journey....however it took time....we stopped in George...that was just before lunch time and as mentioned in my previous blog...we went to collect our new car...the Q7....there was still some paper work and afterwards it was time to find a lunch place...yes, in George....we found a nice Italian restaurant....had a little lunch and then drove to Knysna....Kim decided to drive the Q7 while dad and Thomas drove the bikes...
guest house in Knysna was located on Leisure isle....beautiful....big garden and pool and big rooms...amazing...of course dinner was at the famous Knysna Heads pizzaria...with beautiful views..just amazing...its where the lagoon goes out into the sea...amazing.....let me share some pics
Food was fab...and waiter was really amazing...what a character....next morning...it was a day of rest...a day we would spend in Knysna....all doing whatever they wanted...the only thing we said was...lets do breakfast and dinner together....and of course breakfast would be at the famous ile de pain....the most amazing bakery...the food is wow...but what makes the food so wow is the bread...outstanding...from baguette to croissant to crispy farmers bread...amazing....i decided to have the boiled eggs with crispy bread...wow....so damn good...kim had a poached egg with bacon and tomato crispy bread....everyone loved it....kim and i even looked at the desserts..which looked so yummie but we were too full...maybe later....hmmmmmm
Fresh baked goodies at ile de pain
Kim and me decided we would take a drive with the Q7 along the garden route towards Plett, we stopped at a small cheese place...yes...we bought some yummie cheese and then continued to Plett where we took a stroll on the beach...it was low tide...so we had a beautiful walk....
Then back to Knysna....guess where we went...il de pain for some...apple struddle....and they were worth coming back to...simply delicious...yummie.....and yes...il share a pic...
