Christmas Time
Yes...I am a little bit behind...but we all know my issues with internet when I am onboard...so you will just have to excuse me....first of all....Happy New Year.....hope it's going to be good one for all of us.
Let's take a few days back...Christmas time on the ship....they always make it special for Christmas, so yes, we were excited. We received a Christmas tree in the cabin (yes, a REAL one) and decorated it with some lights and green, gold and red balls....we thought we need a Christmas tree for Sofia...what is Christmas without a Christmas tree. All around the ship there were also a lot of Christmas trees and Gingerbread houses...amazing....in the atrium they even had a train track and Christmas presents all around...very nice decoration....Sofia of course wanted to remove all the presents and bring them to Papa...who then had to put them back....hahaha.....let me share a few pics...

On the 24th (lunch time) when we were in Costa Maya there was the crew lunch and Christmas pictures on the bridge (bridge team). We were also invited to the lunch and of course we wanted to dress Sofia up in her Christmas outfit....her red outfit. The lunch was amazing, it included; sushi....sashimi....prawns...parma ham...beef roast...suckling pig....so damn delicious, we had to be careful not to over-eat cause we had a Christmas eve dinner at Moderno tonight. Sofia also enjoyed her time there and the crew loved having little Sofia there....let me share some pics...

After the lunch and Sofia's nap, before our dinner, we decided we would open the presents. I had a glass of Prosecco and Kim a beer.....and then it was opening time....we all got spoilt and Sofia loved it...and she really got spoilt. She even attempted to steal the Lindt balls from the fridge that Mutti gave to Kim and me....hahaha. The three girls from the bridge (Joyce, Luby and Jona) all bought Sofia a Christmas present because they thought "how should be make Christmas special......what better way than to spoil a baby".....and oh my word...I thought that was so damn amazing...really beautiful. Let me share some pics...

The 24th at night we had dinner with some guests, in fact we had met them through the little ones (Sofia and their son, Gavin), they had a good time together on the bridge (Kim invited them to view it) and the adults also enjoyed their time....they invited us for a dinner before the end of the cruise and so we thought, why not do a Christmas dinner with them....and definitely no regrets...what a great night...we all thoroughly enjoyed it...thank you Heather and your family. Let me share some pics...

For us...you might know...that the 24th at night is when we celebrate....so it was a very important evening, great evening. In the morning of the 25th, all the children were able to go and see Santa Claus in the atrium....we lined up with Sofia but I was a little bit worried...she cried when she met Santa Claus in Italy, she also cried when she saw him on the bridge...so we were curious...and same thing....Sofia as soon as she saw him...tears started to come...she snatched her present and buried her face in papa's shoulder.... (very nice they give ALL the children on the ship a small gift). Sofia received a little Dory soft toy and she also got her face painted...a little Christmas star on the cheek....very cute. The rest of the day we enjoyed going for a nice lunch (it was a sea day) and then watching the family circus in the theatre (in fact Sofia and I go every week, it is being put on by the young ones from the kid's club, and Sofia LOVES it). We spent the day as a family....it was great. We had a memorable Christmas, but we are looking forward to spending the next one at home. Let me share a last pic from the 25th...
