Bangkok....part 3

So.....what else did we choose to see.....the Golden Mount and the Jim Thompson silk museum and house and yes...try the local river transport....and yes...more food and more coffee places....so....the local river transportation....so cool...and so efficient...you get squashed into this boat like sardines and then it just goes...stopping for like a minute...so if you are too slow...trust me...you will miss your exit....but a lot of fun and one actually sees a lot of local living which is interesting...yes...some photos...

The Jim Thompson museum and house was ok...the house was nice to see but they didnt explain how the people actually make silk...there was a person just cleaning the silk...but no explanation...at least i got explained in Turkey when I went to Ephesus how silk comes about...so then i explained to my mom and kim...hahaha.....the house was very pretty and well preserved....interesting...here a few pics....

And now to the Golden Mount....impressive....had to climb our way up...not too bad...but it was hot...so yes....some sweating did occur....once up, you had a good view over Bangkok...we saw the Wat Arun, the Grand Palace etc....intersting...and the dome...massive...very cool to see....but the musts are def the long tail boat, Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun.....at the dome there were no guides...but then again it was pretty self explanitory.....yes...of course some pics....

So....that concludes...almost...the trip to Bangkok.....kim left friday afternoon and my mom and i flew back to South Africa friday evening...last dinner...yes...some more thai food...green papaya salad, satays, spring rolls and some divine sushi.....delicious...and of course Bellinis.....divine.....and yes...some last pics of the food....

So....next blog will be about my last week at home before signing on again.....so cheerio for now....
