So.....

Yes...it has been a while...and main reason...i moved back from nightshift into dayshift....with a promotion...man...when i heard i was so excited...the german translator aka german igs (international guest services) went on vacation and they didnt have anyone lined up...so they asked whether i would step up to the challenge...so exciting...so of course from one day to the next i was moved from nightshift to dayshift...and i have no complaints about that....so what has been happening....first we were in naples....i didnt have a lot of time off...so literally we went into naples and kim took me to a pizza place he knew and loved...Hmmmmm...chef must have changed cause first timenin Naples....pizza was not good...not as bad as in civvi...but it was bad....way way too much tomaonsauce and the dough was so soggy and wet...not great....and it just seemed like it wasnt cooked long enough...in my opinion...the tomato base still tasted like it had just been poured out of a tin without having been cooked...damn....here a pic

then we sent some time looking for takkies (sneakers) for kim...yes...we were successful....and then i spotten a choc shop....newly opened in dec....and we explored...i bought a choc icover for my iphone...hahaha....so me.....and last but not least.....dessert....pistaccio ice cream magnum....perfecto....

So a good day in Naples...but next time def have to choose a better pizza place...the last two pizzas have been disappointing (actually the pepperoni on the ship has been better).....and here some mre food stories...have gone to two of the specialty restaurants lately....Moderno and Bistro....Moderno is the Brazilian restaurant where they come past your table and you choose the various meats and then there isna buffet....i like...but i do have my favourite items and other than those i dont really eat the others....fillet...garlic sirloin....piccante....all red meat...kim loves the lamb and chickenleg also...not me that much...there is also sausages, chorizo....chicken breast wrapped in bacon etc....oh yes...almost forgot...the caramalized pineapple....of course is divine...pineapple...another of my weaknesses which you can add to my list of nuts, cheese with butter and chocolate....hmmmm....Bistro....finally managed to try a different main...starter i had the asapragus (which i have had once before and i liked)....and i was not disappointed....they were good....and for mains..................the roasted pork loin with crispy chips and caramalized apple....wow...prok cooked to perfection, i really enjoyed....and ill def eat that again....dessert...i asked for a plate of camembert and brie...fab....and yes...of course i have some pics.....but before that...kim's choice...french onion soup (rich but tasty), duo of duck confit (however, he asked for two legas and no breast) and dessert....surprise, surprise....ice cream....hmmmm...and now the pics...

And have i been going out in the ports...well shifts have not been great...breaks way too short in order to enjoy outside...so u have just gone once this cruise....limassol...went with two of the girls from my team...both from peru...and we took the shuttle bus into town...strolled around...took some pics...and had a fat chat over some cappuccino....divine...relaxing and just what was needed...and yes...i do have a couple of pics....


So...now...i guess i do need to apologize for slacking...but it really has been a busy couple of days...and today i started at 5am...and tomorrow again...wow.....early early...so to end this blog..i do have to tell you...went to Spinnaker...that was fun...catching up with some friends and yes....drinking some good old prosecco....so cheers.....chat soon...yes...ill try to be better....
