Encore Istanbul

So...as mentioned...we had overnight in Istanbul....i of course could not go out at night....nightshift....but so what...was a chilled night on the ship....i mean nightshift wise....i was looking forwArd to another day outside with no time pressure....first thing after nightshift....3.5hrs of sleep...just to freshen up a little.....

Around lunch Kim and I left the ship and took the tram....yes...compromise...one way the tram and walk back....we took the tram to Haiga Sofya....i was not in the mood to sight-see today, done enough yesterday...walking around, relaxing and enjoying is what i needed....so no...we didnt go inside the Mosque....(we have two more Istanbul's....then def going once)....we walked the streets...stopping for a kebab wrap and then slowly making our way towards the river....many stops along the way...the first...my favourite choc shop which also serves fab cappuccino....as we sat down...the waiter brought us a bowl of mini chocs....they were like Maltesers or Whispers (whatever you wanna call them)....me...of course i wanted a cappuccino...and guess what....i got a dark chocolate spoon....man so nice...im loving this more and more.....and then Kim and I could not resist to order a truffle each...kim ordered a chestnut covered in dark choc while i ordered the cacao truffle....both really nice.....

Of course we had the new camera with us....and we started playing around with it a little...well more kim than me...and he managed to take some amazing pics...which of course im going to share....

Then time to walk through parts of the Grand Bazaar (this was in order to get to the bridge where we could eat our planned lunch)....but walking through the Grand Bazaar....you can spot some cool things for sale....and also...the Spice Market.....amazing things....we bought a pan (yes...there is a pic in a bit), some seeds and not to forget....we found lots of cheese stalls...all giving out samples...so we walked from one to the next and tried cheeses...yes yes...we also bought some cheese...of course...what a question....we also tasted this really amazing mozzarella...it looks like shoe strings...so cool...and tastes fab...next time we getting some of that and then ill take a pic of it...but for now...here some pics (and guess what....i didnt pose...i didnt realise pics we being taken)

After venturing through crowds of people we crossed the bridge and reached our lunch destination....the fish market...we saw our 2 spots which we tried the last time and thought this time we try another new spot...again...plastic tables and chairs...i just love it...and ordered deep fried anchovies...so nice...exactly what we were looking forward to....and yes..i do have a pic...

After lunch....we attempted to find a place where we could have some coffee and kim could smoke his cigar....that was not too difficult as in most places in Turkey you are allowed to smoke....

So...that was the second day in Istanbul....nice chilled day...exactly what we both wanted and needed or needed and wanted...hmmmm....not sure which way it must go...and in all honesty i am too tired to think which way makes more logical sense....hahaha....okey dokey....off i am...enjoy your day/night whatever it is for you right now.....
