Santorini, 12th June.....

So before i start.... I know the last time i wrote, was after Corfu and this is terrible cause today we were in Corfu again.... Oops, that means 2 weeks have passed.... Now here are some of the excuses.... My parents were on board, so of course i wanted to spend time with them.... Then my very very close friend, who in actual fact i call my little sister, it was her last week, so yes free time was spent with her.... And then when i finally did want to write and had time the application, as i mentioned and wont bore you again.... Didnt work...

So where to start, Santorini, almost 2 weeks ago, Katakolon, Mykonos, the week wih my parents or the 60th birthday..... Actually i did say ill start from the back but all you guys know me, im quite structured and organised so ill have to start with Santorini 2 weeks ago.... All it means is that over the next couple of days there will be quite a few updates.... So you better have some time otherwise good luck to catch up later, haha..... Ok enough of the lengthy chat, let me now start with Santorini.....

So Radu, Dina and i had time off together, that does not happen but somehow it did, def was not gonna complain. Man, the first thing i had to do though was convince Dina to do a donkey ride up with me.... So much fun. So we got on this donkey, well if u can call it that, it is almost as big as a horse, so maybe it is some mixed breed stuff thing..... Anyway, Dina got some ugly white one, i was very glad i had a normal brown one, haha....it was so much fun going up with it, was quite scary at times cause the donkey just walked on its own, stopped whenever it felt like it, but all in all so much fun, even Dina was glad that she did it.... Raadu decided to chicken put and walk instead. Arriving at the top we smelt like donkey, not pleasant so thank god dina and i brought some change of clothes, where to change them, that was a challenge which i wont go into, but oh well about the smell, was worth it.... Then we started exploring Fira, and this time it was so much more fun, doing things with people you want to hang out with makes the biggest difference, we walked all over the place, just taking millions of pics, i even practiced posing for Dina so that she could practice photography skills, man she has talent.... Then around 6 we decided to sit in this little place which had an amazing view over Santorini and we could also see the ship in the background.... Eating Greek salad, pita bread, mussels and having lots of olive oil, i have said it before, but this olive oil here in Greece is just not comparable to anywhere i have had olive oil before... and a meal is not complete with some wine, too hot for red wine though so went with the white one.... On our way back i decided i needed to try Ouzo, so bought a small bottle and Radu and i shared it, how disgusting, should have known though cause i hate liquorice, but i still needed to try, you know me i will try all traditional stuff, so of course i have to try Ouzo.....back on he ship i was so glad that someone swopped shift with me and i didnt have to work again, that ouzo hit me quite bad so bed looked like an option.... But Dina and i decided why the hell go to bed, night is still young, so we ended up on deck 12, at the pool, dancing at the sail away party, fun times, man i will miss her (and now you know that she has already left cause im trying to catch up from 2 weeks ago, so i should actually say, man i do miss her).... So finally a fun time out in Santorini...... Tomorrow is Mykonos then Katakolon and then this run is finished.... Time just flies.....

So here are some pics, they are all added at the bottom cause im using the old application again where i cant insert in between.......

  1. Attention! advice for everyone! do not eat delicious ice cream on the donkeys' path... not the best mixture of taste and smell... :)
