Athens

So last nite we had the good-bye party of our boss, she is getting married and is leaving the company after having been with them for 12 yrs...arty was not very exciting but the food was quite amazing....Dina and i stayed for an hour cause we were bored and also we started work at 6:30....but here a some pics anyway....we love the camera.....and it brings memories....haha...
So today started work at 6:30am, man im tired...i finished the first shift at 10:30 but i was not off cause it was boat drill until 11:30.... At 11:30, Dina, Radu and i made our way to Athens.....so first of course we had to get to the metro station in Piraeus.....on our way there we all felt rather hungry...so why not have a quick stop at a local spot, i actually lead them to the same spot that i ate kebabs the last time....only this time we decided on Giro, deep fried anchovies and lots and lots of tzatziki....and with it also came half a loaf of french baguette...so so good.....here is some pics to make you hungry and jealous....

Now...time to make our way to the metro and into Athens, Dina and i bought one way ticket to athens, and decided we not gonna validate until on the way back...Radu too scared decided to buy two....so funny.....this time we took the middle of Athens metro stop and not the one i took last time to see the Acropolis. Getting out from the metro we could see the Acropolis on the hill...looks good from so far below....we started to just arbly walking around....its a bit like Rome in the fact that there are ruins all over the city, you just walk and bump into them....of course we also saw many shops selling olves, baklava and olive oil.....we wven tasted some olive oilsq and the one from Crete was the winner (we just tasted various Greek olive oils)..... Here are some more pics....

We also went to see the parliament building, man the soldier people look so funny, i thought the shoes were a joke...look like clown boots...haha....like i said as we walked we saw more and more ruins and old, some restored, buildings, so pretty...i honestly can say this time i actually enjoyed Athens....also bought a bag of olives which we munched while roaming streets and in the end....can i leave without coffee.....nope.....so had a macchiato and with it came this yummy mini croissant...so cool.....have a squizz....

Now time to go back home...on the way though one last snack, couldnt resist...mayabe you wont believe me bt when you walk past the fruit stands where they sell strawberries, cherries, apricots and bananas, the strawberries smell as you walk past them....so so amazing and Dina told me she had some the last time and she has never had strawberries as good as these ones in Greece...so off course...got 500g and we paid 1€, howcheap...wot a joke......loved our time out....4pm was work....who cares...and tonight plans are Dina and my movie night, Romantic Comedy called "Midnight in Paris"......here some last pics
