Venice....my parents arrive.....

So, finally the time has come....my parents arrival. I was really looking forward to it....just showing them the ship and what i do and of course the specialty restaurants......so, i had to work very early in the morning, start at 6:30 and i was off at 11 for 3 hrs....perfect, i could go and fetch my parents and then have a lunch with them at the Garden Cafe.....when i saw them in the arrival hall i was so happy and excited.....they got VIP which was a total surprise to them and they felt so honoured, i was so happy for them...so of course special treatment for them....they def deserve it.....after check in, i showed them the ship, a little, and then we had lunch at the Garden Cafe (they wanted to see more but by now i was dying of hunger, so sorry)..Garden cafe was very busy but was so nice to catch up...work that afternoon passed quickly and in the evening i had made dinner reservation for the three of us at Papa's.....for starters i had the carprese, yes, i know, boooring.....my mom had the carpaccio, my recommendation and my dad had carpaccio and fried calamari, all very good.....oh yes, of course to drink we had the Chianti, cannot go wrong with that.....and for mains i had the shrimp and mushroom risotto, like always great, so we all loved the food, dessert i skipped cause im not impressed by them, tiramisu such a disappointment, cannot wait to make MY tiramisu again, haha.....

The next day we arrived in Dubrovnik, because i was off quite late i told my folks to go on a tour, i booked it for them...and guess what, they got it for free....hmmmmm......very spoilt they are, they were of course loving it. I sent them on the same tour that Julia and i had gone, that one at least i knew was good, i mean my parents are not into ruins and long tour guide talks, so i thought village life and some Dubrovnik would be great, and yes, ill compliment myself, i was right, they loved it.....so me....i only had 1.5hrs out, Dina was also off so the 2 of us took the shuttle bus, one problem, the crew bus was only in 30min, so we took some stickers which are for guests, turned our keycards around, got onto guest bus, of course someone asked whether we were guests....We just said yes and got on...i mean the bus was so empty, so it was not as if we were stealing seats.....good going....now we had time to do some shopping and then we just sat down and had coffee....and a really meaningful chat, it was so good to talk to someone......i can really trust her and i find that very rare, so we had such a good time out....Here are some random pics we took while finding a place to drink some cappucino.....oh yes, almost forgot...need to give you a verdict...strong coffee but useless foam...im starting to give up on these Europeans....what is so hard about making a thick foam......anyway.....tomorrow is sea day and then it is Piraeus, this time i wont have time to go to Athens....so ill tell you later what i ended up doing.....hmmmmmm
