As promised...part II.....a whole day jam packed.....let's start.....well...i guess you know what that was....a beautiful breakfast on the terrace overlooking Praiano and the Amalfi coast....
Breakfast time
Then our exploring started...driving from one town to the next along the amalfi coast....first to amalfi.....then to maiori then to minori then up the mountain to ravello and last but not least to positano...but let me start from the beginning....while driving to amalfi the scenery is very beautiful, there are lemon trees everywhere and kim had to stop quite a few times so that I could take pics....and ill share a few with you...
Beautiful coastline

Once we arrived in Amalfi we did a stop...and i believe it is definitely worth while...yes, it is quite touristy and there are quite a few souvenir shops...but definitely worth walking through.....

History of the fountain
The fountain really impressed me..i have never seen anything like it...very interesting/ different. After exploring Amalfi we moved on to Maiori, there, however, we only drove through....so in all honesty i cannot really tell you much about it....next stop was Minori....where we decided to have a coffee on the "main street"....i was not too impressed with the town...for me nothing overly beautiful, in fact i was a little bit disappointed, the coffee....also nothing special....

Next up...the mountain roads which took us up to Ravello....that was a beautiful drive with amazing views....
Lemons....lemons and more lemons
Beautiful views
Once we arrived in Ravello, we parked the bike and walked the quaint little town....kim felt like a pizza...so we were looking for a pizza place....and we found one...quite a bit of an uphill walk to get there....but so worth it....the menu just looked incredible....but....we had dinner plans so we decided to share a pizza.....after all...it is naples style pizza...so we definitely wanted to try....and wow....it did not disappoint....it was incredible...we were soooo happy....the dough was to die for....just wow...so yes, i would most definitely recommend this place for lunch....the place's name Mimi.....

Kim had a beer and i decided to have a limoncello frizz....not sure what was in it....but i did ask what glas it comes in before i ordered it...they informed me it would be a Martini glas, so i went for it....and i really enjoyed it...but of course you need to like lemons and probably limoncello...otherwise it is not for you...

Lunch was delicious...and it was time to move on because at 5 we were meeting friends at the Sole Bar in Praiano, and we still wanted to see positano....so off we went.....arrival in positano...it is breath-taking...but parking was impossible...the roads are blocked, parking full...so we only drove through....my suggestion is to book the hotel in Positano....a hotel with car parking...then you can just walk into positano and enjoy and the next day you take the car and explore the rest of the amalfi coast...i would NOT stay in Praiano...i would stay in Positano....i must say i am disappointed we did not manage to explore Positano cause the shops looked incredible and i would have liked to have more time there...but time was running out to meet our friends.....so we had a quick stop for a magnum ice -cream...of course a new flavour.....cookie cumble...and it was yummie...we would have liked a gelateria...but could not find parking....

Time to meet our friends at Sole bar in praiano.....in fact we enjoyed catching up so much that we ended up going for dinner together...and it was their choice of restaurant....they have a friend who owns a restaurant in Positano called Meditteraneo and they wanted to take us there....why not. Upon arrival, the owner brought a glas of prosecco to the bike....wow...what service....i was pleasantly surprised....as we sat down we were asked whether we eat seafood "yes, of course", "ok great, ill bring you the antipasti and then you take it from there"....and wow...the amount of food we received...incredible....and absolutely delicious.

After that....both couples decided to share mains....they chose a pasta and kim and i chose a seafood soup....
Seafood soup
Kim expected it to be more like a soup...i guess it was more like a mixed seafood platter...but it was simply delicious,we really enjoyed it....all this was accompanied by a light bottle of white wine....so damn good....yes, i do have a pic of our friends also....

Dessert was non existent.....too full....we had such a great evening with them and the food was incredible...in fact every meal we ate out at the amalfi coast was good and we would go back to every single restaurant....from the polipo at La Moressa to the pizza at Mimi to all the seafood at Meditteraneo....just wow...amalfi coast specialises in seafood (i guess that is quite obvious), so if you are a seafood lover, you will love the food places...it is fresh, simple and honest food....just wow...that is something i must admit, i sometimes miss in the tuscany, the seafood...cause i just LOVE seafood...yes, red meat also...but seafood is definitely not a speciality here in the tuscany....but then again red wine is...and red meat.
Kim and i enjoyed a jam packed weekend on the amalfi coast. Sunday was heading back home time...and i share a few last pics which we took on our way home...and also one last pic....because we found another new magnum flavour....peanut flavour....
