Perugia
Another new city.....the old part is small...but quaint and worth a visit if you have some extra time.....i definitely recommend seeing Montepulciano, Montalcino, Cortona before....but as i said if you have extra time....why not discover something different...it is also not part of the Tuscany anymore....anyway...moving on.....once we arrived we had to park all the way at the bottom of the hill but no problem...cause there were escalators all the way leading you into the old town....perfetto.
We walked though the main street...and there were A LOT of chocolate stores....guess why...well, the famous Baci chocolate comes from Perugia...if you are not sure what i am talking about...here is a picture...
Baci chocolate
In fact...talking about the chocolate, you can also visit the factory in Perugia, which is definitely something i would like to do...another time though....first time...visit the actual old town....it also has a huge university...known for learning languages....of course when we were walking we entered the chocolate shops and of course before going home...we did a huge chocoate shop.....the bag was sooooo heavy....but all worth it....anyway....after walking through the main area and seeing the main piazza we decided to have some lunch....
We were debating between two places...but after a waiter at one of the places came hurrying with a baby chair...the decision was pretty simple...Ferrari it was.....Sofia loved sitting in her high chair, she even received her own crayons and papers (instead of drawing...she decided to eat).....
For lunch there was some sharing going on.....Mutti though, had her own food....she had a Pizza Margharita and a tomato salad...mom, dad and me shared a Pizza with funghi and proscuitto cotto, a bresola carpaccio and a buffalo caprese...and oh my word...the food was absoloutely amazing...the pizza was boardering on Naples style pizza...which of course is just WOW....so yes, it was a very good lunch and we would definitely go back...i guess time to share some pics....
