Cappuccino near Radolfzell.....

So....as you might know we are in Europe at the moment....right now we are staying in Radolfzell with my Oma....we have been enjoying time around Radolfzell, from Insel Reichenau to Allensbach, to Titisee to Stein am Rhein to of course Radolfzell.....been doing various things at the various places, but one thing kept being constant and that is that in most places we tried cappuccino....well Allensbach we went swimming in Bodensee at moms cousins place, so we had Eiscafe which is coffee with vanilla ice cream and cream...that was rich...but bloody delicious...ice cream from Movenpick, which is excellent.....and on Insel Reichenau we went for salad plates with fish at this "hole in the wall" type place, but it was so damn good...i even have a pic to share with you.....forellen fillet with salad plate....

Now let me tell you about the cappuccinos that we have had at the various places. First one i am going to tell you about was the one at Titisee....shocking....the foam was so thin, it was almost going away when the cappuccino arrived, i was rather upset and it was also milky...but i guess that is what i got so that is what i drank...guess whose drink is whoms....hahaha....Sofia, Kim and me

Titisee
But what i have to admit....the Germans know how to make ice cream coups....we had a spaghetti ice with strawberry syrup (i desperately wanted to try the spaghetti ice and the only one they had was with strawberry sauce), it was bloody nice, it also had some orange liquor with it....yummie...i took the pic a little bit late, but rather late than never....

So the next cappuccino....Radolfzell at Eiscafe Tiramisu on Marktplatz. Well, same as Titisee, the foam was non existent, i mean so thin, and the coffee so weak....very upset....let me share a pic....

But what was excellent again...i looked at the menu...which is full of various ice cream coups, honestly amazing the selection you get....Its like 10 pages, and no, i am not exaggerating....and guess what there were about 6 different spaghetti ice creams.....yay....so we chose the one with amarEna cherries, man it was so delicious, so damn good.....now i definitely wanna try the carbonara which is with egg liquor and various nuts, or i would like the try the walnut coup, my mouth is watering....let me share a pic of the amareNa spaghetti....

Now let me share some coffee experiences in Switzerland, first of all, Stein am Rhein....we walked the small village a little bit, and then decided to settle at Beck Walz where Kim had a cigar on the piazza and a beer and i decided to have my famous...cappuccino, it was also machine made, but i must be honest it was not too bad, funny enough the second one I had there was actually better than the first, the foam was not very thick but it also was not blow away thin, it was not strong, but i lived with it...let me share a pic....

Of course Kim and I cannot go to a Beck (bakery) without ordering something to eat....at Zwetschge (plumbs) are in season, so a Zwetschgeweihe is what we decided on, we decided to share cause it was a rather large slice....and man, it was so good, there were almond splinters on top, normally thE floor of the tarte is covered in almond and hazelnut, this one had almond splinters on top. i was missing the hazelnut on the floor, but it was still very good and moiSt, yummie...and of course I do have a pic....

And now to my last cappuccino experience....in Weinfelden at Mohn Beck, we met mom's cousin for a cappuccino....well, the size of the mugs said it all.....it was so big, that it was a given that the cofee was milky and extremely weak, foam was also blow away thin, so it was a disappointment. The choc on top of the foam was delicious, and it was great to get so much....let me share a pic....

To eat...this time we tried a plain mini croissant which I must admit was nice, i am not a keen croissant eater, but it was nice, Kim also tried the toast hawaai which was ok, nothing special, but then again at a bakery we should have had something sweet...i just think we have eaten so much sweet stuff lately, that we really did not want to have any more sweet things....honestly, the sweets are coming out of my ears, i need savoury things....i wish i could have had a sweet cause the Nussgipfel (nut croissant, the translation does not do justice). Let me share a pic of the toast hawaai....
Toast hawaai
I know i often say let me share and i decided....but you will just have to live with that....that is who i am....hahaha...what i find rather sad is the fact that here in Germany and Switzerland, the cappuccinos come from the machine, no longer made from scratch like in Italy and South Africa.....but that just means I can be even more excited for our few days in Italy......now last pic before i leave this blog....a nussgipfel...Why do i do that....cause translation, like i said, does not justify the taste.....
