Craft

As promised...we have been going to some new places, trying new things....so on Thursday last week we met a couple friend at a place called Craft in Parkhurst. We have driven past it a few times and I have heard about it a few times...so why not go and check it out.....Thursday night it was....

I had called for a reservation but was informed that they do not take reservations, I asked what a reasonable time would be to get there in order not to be disappointed or have to wait too long, 6:15 for 6:30...6:15 it was. It was relatively empty when we arrived so we could choose a table, no joke, by 19:15 the place was buzzing, full of people and a lot of atmosphere.

They have a huge copper wood-fired oven which I just love and the menu actually has a few pizzas but what is great, it has quite a number of items which are actually cooked in the pizza oven....let me mention a few....organic sticky drumsticks, fillet Picanha, fish in a bag etc....they also have some salads, a lighter meals.....so definitely something for everyone.....not really a place to have starters AND mains though....

Now the questions of course is, what did we opt for....Kim decided to try the fillet Picanha, which actually came in a pan on a wooden board to the table, rather cool idea, while I had the Caprese salad, roasted tomatoes and mozzarella with rocket...mine came in a wooden bowl, rather rustic.....their menu for Craft beer is extensive and of course Kim tried out a few....just to check whether they are good....don't ask me which one was his favourite.....

Our friends also ate....she had the olive meatballs with a side salad while he had the mussels in a creamy white wine sauce....i guess it is time to share some pics...

All of us loved out meals, we would definitely go back, the desserts were rather limited and we all thought we would give them a skip....so...yes, this is a great place for a casual evening out with some friends with some delicious food....but...do go there quite early to avoid not getting a table...
