Hong kong

So....arrival in hong kong.....hmmmmm.......we arrived at the hotel at 12:30am....man tired....so..next 3 days were spent shopping, eating and drinking fancy cocktails.....But check out how our luggage was loaded on way from airport.....

Lets start with the eating.....so....first day...for brunch...dim sums....at this really local place where they come around with carts...you read what they have in the cart and then say yes or no....i tried a lot...surprised myself with some of the things....from pork buns to deep fried corn and shrimp dim sums to salted deep fried squid to....chicken feet....yes...lots of cartlidge...sandro loves them, mom didnt even try, fabienne said she doesnt like them....and i tried....nothing special...i wouldnt eat again....little chewy....also tried this ginger custard...and for dessert some sesame wobble cake and some mango soup...hmmmmm....loved some things...here some pics...First pic the shrimp and corn dim sum and deep fried salted squid, then the lady with the cart and lastly chicken feet.....

Same other amazing food.....crab covered in deep fried garlic...man...was so good....loved it..also had some greenery with it....but the crab...wow...great...but hell of a messy....i think my hands were drenched in oil after the meal...def go back though...some pics....

But lets be honest...have had so much asian food...that soon..i just said to everyone...u can go eat asian....but im going to find myself an italian place....no problemo...everyone came....thank god...cause honestly i couldnt see soya sauce again...had amazing things from proscuitto To carprese etc etc...and yes...for the next few meals in was italian for me....check out this carprese....Was with oven roasted tomatoes...yummy....So soon...ill be in rome...more italian food...and then in venice for two nights before the the ship....man cannot wait...im excited like a small child is for christmas....

So..what else did we do....go see my sisters other choice wedding dress...love it also...hard choice...to rings...well wedding band...to of course shopping and yes...some views of the skyline...went up with the peak tram to the highest view point in hong kong....here some pics....nice....Funny how smoggy hong kong is....

And what else did we do in hong kong...go check out various bars...from the highest bar at the carlton ritz to a tiny japanese bar called butlers where u tell them what base u want and what taste u like and they make something for u....amazing...best part...first night there, 1st oct, it was national day....should have seen the fireworks....amazing...and view from carlton ritz...speechless...had a great cocktail there mango with chilli foam...and another raspberry with basil foam....just loved the two bars...def go back....here some more pics....First three pics ritz carlton then last one from butlers bar...that bar was tiny...could only take about 20 people....next time def make a reservation.....

So...now im sitting with my mom....almost time to go to airport...well another 1.5 hrs...now having some sparkling wine...some italian food...and then a good nite sleep in the plane...well dont know if it will be good...but lets hope so....So cheers...chat soon.....

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
