My venture

So......the 22nd December has arrived...now you thinking...wow...sandra....you are behind in writing but the truth is....yes...maybe a little...but i really cannot post more than one blog at a time...and i do need to seperate events.....so this one deserves to be separated ......i stopped work around 7:30, perfect....now i could just go and chill a little with kim before my parents arrive and before he would have to do his official hand over.....then at 11 my parents were in the terminal.....of course i went to go greet them...man it was good to see them...and my gran, i call her Mutti, was also with them....i was so happy...and timing perfect.....Christmas and New Year i wouldnt have to be alone....cause kim was leaving...and that was hard...... The 3 of them got VIP status, but the highest one.....amazing...they would be able to eat breakfast and lunch at Cagney's, they would get a snack in the room every afternoon, priority disembarking etc.....so...why not start their holiday ...

Weather.....hmmmmm....i was off at 8.....looooong nightshift......and then time to sleep....staff captain was out till around lunch....so kim andi would only go out then....so good time to sleep....problem...i was not tired at alll......so.....i was arbing around for quite some time until finally my body said....ok now im tired....time to sleep..... Around 1pm we left....strolled towards the underground tunnel....there is like 3 touristy ones in Naples....but we wanted to go to a particular one....the one on Via Tribunali....near the church....so off we tracked.....it drizzled a little...so yes, umbrella was needed.....but not bad rain......we knew the underground tour would start at 2....so we had good time.....and now here is the unbelievable part.....guess where it was....right next to the famous pizzeria that kim took me to, about 3 weeks ago....and guess what....he had never seen the nderground tunnel sign...even though the sign is quite large....hmmmmm....amazing.....anyway....m...

So.....i think that title, sea days, is used the first time....wow....normally sea days are not that much to write about....but these two sea days i actually do have something to write about.....so...both mornings i was off at 7 form nightshift and then of course....time to jump in bed and snooze....lunch time kim and i decided to go and eat some sushi....excellento....from shrimp tempura...(but somehow the chef made it special, he placed eel and avo on top.....wow...excellento...def have to remember that for next time)....and mixed sashimi....from octopus to yellowtail to tuna to salmon....and a role with roasted cashews on top...not my favourite....wot a nice lunch....and to end of the "lunch" we went up to the villa and enjoyed a coffee on the terrace....very nice....in the afternoon kim dragged me to TRX...first i really did not wanna join...but in the end im glad i did...actually it is fun...works your entire body....its basically a stretch rope hanging from the ceiling...

Welcome to Istanbul....nightshift...so first day arrival was at 13:00....plenty of time to sleep which was fab...then staff captain was going out, so kim couldnt go out....so off i went on my own mission....plan...to walk up to Taksim square....have a wonder around, maybe some coffee and find some Pistaccio chocolate.....was a little rainy so umbrella had to come with.....wot a great walk up....took 15min...and just being in the fresh air...love it...and because it was just a drizzle it was great...i strolled along the main road...going into the local bazaar and shops....of course i found the choc shop....here is a pic...and of course i bought the black pistaccio choc bar..... Yes....did find a coffee shop....maybe you know cafe nero...i think its an english chain and i always love their coffee in england...why....Because its strong...so in there i went....coffee was very good and strong...foam a little too "disappearing" if you know what i mean.....haha.....then time to ...

Ephesus...have heard so much about it....finally time to go....was looking forward....and i managed to get on the exclusive tour....which only takes 12 people, when they are not full then a crew member is allowed to go...man when i heard there was space...so nice....it would be 5hrs and we would visit the Virgin House of Mary and then Ephesus and at the end the carpet shop...that is always part of all the Turkish tours.....so in the morning i had 2hrs of work and then day off till 10:30pm when i would start with my nightshift for 2 weeks....damn.....that def has its positives and negatives...you are free the whole day..but sleep pattern really gets disrupted and of course on port days i wAnna go out...but more about that later...lets chat about Ephesus..... So the tour left at 9am.....there was one couple from the States and a family from San Diego with 4 children (3, 5, 7 and 9), both very nice couples, as it turned out....so it took about 1.5hrs to get there....on the way there the ...
