Some bits and pieces
Yes...there were some smaller port excursions which consisted of maybe a stroll and something to eat...and yes...there were also some yummie lunches and dinners...so let's just capture some of them...as i do believe they also deserve to be mentioned...hahaha...our first port of call was in actual fact Toulon..and man it was bad weather...rain...rain...and more rain...so we took this tourist train which brought us on a round trip and on the second stop we hopped off...found a patesserie...had some tradtional french things...quiche lorraine and choux pastry....a light pastry dough used to make profiterols, eclairs and it is stuffed with cream....sweet but yummie..kim of course had his apple crumble...not very traditional...but he enjoyed it....so yes...toulon was rainy....city looked pretty but we did not really manage to enjoy it....
Civvi.....nope...just some good old capuccino and shopping at my favourite shop...tezenis...and yes...managed to find some shoes...Piraeus...hmmm....not my favourite place...so Mutti and i once again took the little tourist train and made a round trip through piraeus...of course with a stop...walking around the marina and stopping to find a coffee shop....and we found some good macchiato and fresh fruit choose...then we decided it would be nicer to tan on the ship....
Mykonos....of course...strolling...and eating...the most amazing Greek salads...tomatoes like you have never tasted...and yes frilled octopus...divine...and then good olf olive oil and some fried cheese and fresh bread and we were all in heaven...we ended up going to the same place we were last year called Sunset right in little Venice...and then the most amazing part was when the waiter came up to us and said to kim...i remember you...you were here last year, you sat there (pointed at the table we sat at) and you are the captain of the ship....wow....amazing.....
And to end my blog....let me leave you with some pics of the divine dishes we had throughout the cruise...from La Trattoria (Italian) to Bistro (French) to Cagney's (Steak)....and Windows (the main dining room)....
And i almost forgot....some of the amazing sunsets we have seen also deserve to be mentioned.....
Wow....12 days are over...we have arrived in Venice...time just seems to fly away....damn....next blog will be about Venice....turn around...and net cruise...back to Barcelona....like i said...time is just flying away.....
