Legends

So yes.....we did not only play the 19th hole...what else is there....there is an 18 hole golf course as well as a 9 hole par 3 golf course...for the 18 hole golf course, each hole is designed by a different golfer, golfers from around the world....while for the 9 hole par 3, it is famous par 3's from all over the world....so quite a cool idea for both. We played the 18 hole golf course twice and did not have time to play the 9 hole par 3 golf course, well there was time...but after 18 holes i rather relax a little as opposed to play another 9 holes....

The golf course is quite difficult but beautiful...i really enjoyed it....first round was a shocker, but what can i expect after not playing for so long while the second round turned out to be fun cause i actually had a good game of golf....and yes...i can share some pics...

Each hole had the description of who designed it....cool idea i think

The accomodation and food...yes...i have to talk about it...firstly....because we all know im a foodie and secondly....just because i like sharing my experiences with you.....accomodation was nice but "cold"....what do i mean by that...i just felt the rooms could have been done with a little bit more warmth....like hang some paintings on the walls and not leave them naked...also they gave you two large towels and no hand towels...when we asked whether they had some, the answer was no.....but guess what....the next day we had two large towels and two hand towles....funny....

Dinner was in a seperate section, we had to take the car to get there...but let me explain, you have to take the car everywhere cause everything is really far apart....clubhouse, golf course, reception, dinner area.....dinner menu is every day different...consisting of three starters, three mains and three desserts and you pick one of each....wow....the first night menu looked great...i went with the smoked salmon and prawn tier (actually we all did), it was beautifully presented and tasted delicious....wow...now i was so excited for my sirloin steak...yummie...but first ill share a pic of the starter....dont you get jealous?

Smoked salmon and prawn starter

Then time for mains....hmmm....what happened....i couldnt even cut the steak...it was so tough...it was horrible...and presentation also not great....my mom had fish and it was just dumped on pasta...shocking....honestly i was so disappointed, beautiful starter and then hmmmmm.....

Dessert kim and i shared the choc brownie with ice cream....honestly, i expected vanilla ice cream...however it came with choc ice cream...strange...the brownie was nice but it definitely should have been served with vanilla ice cream.....and they could have given the berry sauce a skip...but im not a fan of fruity and choc together...even choc covered starwberry for me is a no no...the only fruit that for me can be covered with choc is a banana....anyway...that was a little of the subject....but anyway...haha...i like sharing some pointless facts with you sometimes.....

Brownie

Second night....i was hopeful....the starters looked great..mains nothing jumped at me, well let me put it differently the fillet jumped at me, i was however worried whether it was really fillet and whether it would be tough, the starter, springbok carpaccio was really great...i think i should have ordered three more of those and should have givent the mains a skip....i did go with the fillet at the end cause the other things just did not appeal to me....i ordered medium and it came so well done that i could not eat it...and sending it back, no cause everyone's fillet was cooked wrong....so never mind....but guess what for dessert they had cheese platter...so i forgot about the mains and in the end i ordered two cheese platters...i was happy....and that again..beautifully presented....

Springbok carpaccio
Cheese platter....the one i had two of....i just love my cheese with my butter,,,,ooooh...heaven
Breakfast...so so...decent but nothing to rave about....all in all..i must say it was a nice weekend away....the idea of playing holes designed by famous golfers all over the world...so cool....and of course playing the 19th hole...amazing....going up with a helicopter and playing the longest par 3 in the world...and i have to admit a mistake in my last blog....kim pointed it out to me....in fact he did not have a par, he had a bogey....so guess what...i think we need to go back...and he must try again....one day.....but nevermind 3 or 4....both are bloody good...so is it worth going there...yes it was...and i guess we didnt go there because of the food and we are a very critical family when it comes to food....so please if you want to spoil yourself with a weekend away...something different...why not....have fun and enjoy.....
