Civi....turn around.....

So...another cruise finished...already 3 weeks have passed since sign on....wow...time does fly...and soon its Easter....i like Easter....nice chocolates....yummy......let me not get carried away...lets go back...embarkation day.....so...this Civi some of the people from my team, guest services, well two of them asked me to join them on an outing to a village called Torfa. Matteo is Italian and thus has some connections in Civi and managed to organise a taxi which collected us at the terminal (normally taxis are not allowed to enter the port only if they have special permission), it was a Merc mini-van....fancy....in the end it was Matteo, Lucia, a butler and me that ended up going to Torfa.....a small village in the mountains about 30min from the port....and what a pretty village...already driving there through the countryside felt so good...a little bit away from the city.....

When we arrived we decided to take a stroll up the mountain to see some ruins and an old church...quite a hike up...but so pretty...wow...i felt like i was in like the Lord of the Rings movie...in the Hobbit area....here some pics on pur way up....

Once we reached the top we had an amazing view over Torfa....we climbed all the way up...up the ruins...just so pretty and tranquil....really enjoyed...here some more pics from the top....

Once we reached the village again we wAnted some local food and wine...but most places were closed because it was a public holiday....so we entered some deli and Matteo spoke to the owner and we all got to try a piece of fresh bread with some wildboar meAt...amazing....we also tried some donkey biltong...and i must admit...it was nice...not as good as our biltong back home...but it was good....we sat on small stools while we tried our sampling food....have a look...

Then of course hunger settled in and we all ordered one proper sandwich....with thick slices of cheese, wildboar...and of course fresh bread...he prepared it for us...(one cheese only as the one guy is vegetarian) and three meat with cheese...warpped in paper.....oooohhhh....cant wait....and yes....we decided to buy a bottle of red wine and got some plastic cups.....then off for a walk to find a bench in the sun and enjoy our lunch....and man...it was so good...and yes...i do have some more pics...l

Just before heading back....macchiato..of course....some caffeine for a long second shift at work...and as we all know...embarkation is a tough day....so we were now all ready and fueled up to face the new guests....what a nice outing.....
