Last few weeks.....part uno

So....as you have noticed i have been slacking in the blog the last few months...well...there is a reason...not an excuse....but in actual fact this supervisor...when you have afternoon shift, which lasts 2 weeks, you have ABSOLOUTELY NO CHANCE to go out....and then finally when morning shift comes....sometimes she still does not give enough time to go out.....so it has been pretty frustrating....but....the positive side in afternoon shift...one is normally off between 4 and 8 so kim and i could have nice room service dinners.....so...yes...one just has to look at the positive side of things....now...lets talk about the last few weeks....in Katakolon we had a crew beach party, the first one we had was last year and it was suchad success that it was decided we would have another one this year....and guess what...another success....kim and i rented a small motorbike to get us to the beach....it was so much fun riding that thing...totally different toad Harley....yes, thats a given....but still ill mention it...and you know it was also fun....here is a pic (sorry quality of pic quite poor).....

At the beach party...huge effort...a big bbq...ribs...fillet...salads....and then beers and wines.....everyone had a blast..you could swim, play Volleyball, eat...or just enjoy some sun....kim mingled with all the crew...and of course...pics, pics and more pics...and i spent some time with my friends chatting and swimming....what a fun afternoon out.....and the best part....another success.....

Then...it was blanca's birthday....finally she was 21....on the ship she is not allowed to buy or consume alcohol until legally 21, because the ship sails under American law....so when she turned 21 we took her to Le Bistro for the Jazz brunch and kim organised us some Prosecco....we went as a team (well the people we like) and it was such a fun brunch....great food, Prosecco and of course company...we spent two hrs catching up, exchanging fun ship stories and just talking rubbish....in another words....relaxing....and yes...i do have some pics.....

And the best part.....well not the best....a really special thing was that Blanca had never been to the Jazz brunch ever...in actual fact, Sweden, Dianne, Blance and Claudia had never been....so that made it even more special...so, yes....even though sometimes we cannot go out...we make another plan....so...part 2 will follow....soonish.....and then guess what....time for holidays....cannot wait......

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
