Venezia

Hmmmmm....am i slacking...once again...yes.....excuse me...well actually whilst working on the ship i have also taken over doing the books again for the family business....and that is taking some of my "free" time....so yes.....a little busy....but not too busy to stop my blog...just a little slower....we drove back from Tuscany in good time so that we could enjoy Venezia a little....yes, yes...stopped on the way...but this time we made lunch in the car...left over peccorini cheese, toscana salami and wild boar salami (of course crackers)...divine....later a stop for a cappuccino and ice cream (great ice cream...sandwich style...but lets not say anything about the cappuccino), oh well...Company made up for it....

In Venezia we took a water taxi to the Hilton...looooong ride....1h50min....and it was hot...humid...and thus sticky....but i must say....the ride was quite quick cause scenery is nice and we were taking pics....and chatting....so suddenly the Hilton Molino Stucky was in front of us....

San Marco
Beautiful with all the Gondolas
Hilton Molino Stucky Hoel

The hotel was just wow.....grand entrance hall...service fab....and room beAutiful...we changed extremly quickly cause by now it was afternoon and we just wanted to enjoy the view and a drink at the roof top bar where also the pool is located.....what a view....amazing..water was like a bath tub and we were in heaven....

Both of us enjoying the pool and view
Kim enjoying the pool with view...behind is the cruise terminal in front is San Marco

In the evening we took the shuttle taxi across to the San Marco side and we strolled to one of the side alleys and found a quaint little spot.....tiny menu...almost like a wine bar....beautiful.....and we had some good Italian food....from Aperitifo to Caprese to Lasagna....divine.....

Me infront of the restaurant
Aperitifo: beer and Aperol Spritz
Inside the restaurant (we sat outside though)

After dinner....not to forget ice cream....and cigar...but first was first...ice cream on the way to finding a spot for the cigar.....and then ice cream again....we just couldnt let the opportunity pass of having ice cream twice....so divine...and the place where we had after dinner drinks...right on the water and a live band playing...it brought such a vibe to the place...really enjoyed our last evening of vacation.....

Next morning we had a superbe breakfast....cheese....salmon...proscuitto...roasted tomato....eggs...cornetti...morzzarella... You name it...it was there....then we took the earliest water taxi, 10:30 to the port....and embarked the ship....holidays are over....but you know what...i dont mind going back to the ship at all.....so one last pic before i end my Venezia blog.....
