Christmas day.....nice and sunny....yay....and Alanya....great for Christmas cause at least things are open.....so yay.....and for the first time i actually went into the famous red tower....lets start from the beginning....we left the ship and walked towards the red tower....however....my dad got distracted by the view...so first a little walk uphill to see the view of the ship.....actually attained some nice pics.....

Then time to climb some stairs.....but before...here is what the red tower actually is.....

There were three floors of steep stairs to climb....but well worth it.....the view was incredible....and the tower was nice to look at...again...i like architecture though....one could have also seen the old shipyard and the caves....next time...after all i need to keep something for when i come back....right?....well....i think so.....so...yes..this blog will be more pics than talk...or writing....so here some more pics.....

Quite a cool pic if i may so myself.....the ship in the background...hahaha.....then off to some lacmachun pizza and of course we chose the one with cheese....nicer than without cheese...but yes...i am bias....then again...u knew that......so i will insert a pic of the pizza with cheese....just so you know you are missing out....well...i am missing some things from back home....like fillet....tasty grapes....divine fresh mango...crispy bread...i would say biltong...but my mom was nice enough to bring some to the ship.....hahaha....so here the pic..

Then off for a stroll....of course to the chocolate shop.....and a cigar and some macchiato and some truffels....and no....i didnt have a cigar....just my dad.....here a pic of the chocs....yes...2 are with marzipan...one with walnut and one dark choc..yummy......

And the sweetness for the day didnt end there....have a look at this....my gran had it...but of course i had a bite....i would have chosen the one with walnuts...but she chose almonds....but nevermind....was still excellento....i know what to get next time....the same with walnuts....oh...almost forgot...the cappuccino at the chocolate house was horror....filter coffee with foam...sis....the fresh orange juce...excellento....man...that is something else i miss...a good thick foam on top of a strong coffee.....here a pic of the tart.....

The day ended with me meeting my friend, Banu, from the ship who was in Alanya....man...it was so good to see her...catch up over some Turkish tea....gossip and serious chat....so good....i miss her....and the sad thing...what makes shiplife hard....one never knows when one sees one another again....and the worst part...i didnt even take a pic...we were so occupied catching up...after all we only had an hour before it was all aboard....but here a pic of the sunset.....

Wedding time.....my baby sister's wedding

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
