Change....major....hmmmm

So....this cruise started off with a very lazy morning in rome...so good...only started work at 11.... Thats the positive with afternoon shift.....so lazy in bed....enjoying coffee....just relaxing and feeling very refreshed for the start of a new cruise....off to alanya, limassol, israel and egypt again......but first....two sea days....embarkation was quite hectic..had a huge german tour group who were very late and so we waited an extra hour before sailing....yes...normally german people are so in time....well these definitely are not going with the majority....oh well....the two following sea days...very relaxing mornings....again starting around 12, of course that means working till like 1am with a 3hr break....but as i said...at least get to sleep in....do some gym and you know what catch up on emails and relax....actually every now and again...enjoyable....

After not going out two days before rome, not going out in rome and not going out for the next two sea days....yes...we can all count....5 days....i was itchy to get out in alanya...i was off until 2pm....so plenty of time....how nice.....and the weather was so on our side...sunshine...warm...what else do u want...good company..all get ticks.....kim and i walked along the higher promenade street overlooking the promenade and water....really nice...lots of little bazaar type shops, restaurants....nice.....here is a pic of me

Then time for some coffee....unfortunately it did disappoint....but at least kim liked his and the ginger biscuit that i got with my cappuccino very good....why was the coffee a let down...first of all it was nespresso, so yes, my expectations were high...but somehow they had chosen the weakest capsule...prob the gold one....and then filled it to the rim with milk....so yes...i really could not taste coffee at all...and the foam...i guess u can take a guess, blow a little and it is def gone.....but never mind...cause as we got up....guess what i saw....chocolate house....haha....full of truffels...and yes....i stopped, dragged kim in there and we bought pistaccio truffels, black truffels and mocca....and wow....they were good...the pistaccio even had marzipan at the bottom...score for pistaccio and score for marzipan, so double score....haha....then time for some lunch...at some typical turkish restaurant...i say typical cause the typical ones have plastic chairs and tables and you see the doner kebab in the half window...looks more like a take away...but you know...those are the best.....some kebab and salad....and lunch was settled...easy....and yummy...satisfied...def....however, my chocolate tooth was not satisfied....so yes...thank god for the truffels....here are some more pics from our day out.....work...i didnt mind at all...if u have a good day out...work just goes by....and complaints...what complaints.....

 
Next day limassol....we all know how i love it...but this time no chance to get out...afternoon shift...yes that is not a problem but we had drill at 10.... So always see the positive...work only started at 1330.... So a good lunch at garden cafe outside in the sun....hell yes....do i need to go into what i had....no i can skip...but i do mention one thing...of course i found the brie cheese, butter and salt....hahaha...then again...you probably guessed that without me saying it.....damn....that made me very happy....then some work....some more time off.....gym....so proud of myself....some more work....reading...yes...im reading a good book...girl with the dragon tattoo....so far so good...saw the american movie....and now reading the book....and sleep time....but man before that...some chaos.....but that i will write about tomorrow....now im off to work....so just to clarify, the chaos happened around 8pm in limassol.....

Oh my word....my sister, who wanted to be a nun (inspired by the movie Sister Act), is getting married....and to a guy that suites her perfectly.....we started getting reAdy around lunch time...make up artist, Victor Ortega, was flown in from Manila. He did my sister's, my mom's and my makeup....but now a few steps back...this wedding pre- celebration started on Wednesday night with a Swiss family dinner, Thursday night a pub crawl and Friday night a close family (Aboitiz and Bucher) at a Spanish tapas place (where the food was amazing...first time i tried nero paella)....but to the pub crawl we get later..... Another cruise in Western Caribbean

This is the second week....we started the journey in Tampa and this Tampa we decided to take Sofia to the aquarium...I was quite interested to see whether she would be fascinated with the fishes or not....and she was....certain ones...certain ones not too much....but she definitely enjoyed going there. The aquarium had 8 sections: Wetlands Trail, Journey to Madagascar, Bays & Beaches, No Bone Zone, Coral Reefs, Dragons Down Under, Ocean Commotion and Splash Pad. We visited all except for the Splash Pad (that is outside for the kids to play and it was closed at the moment). It was nice also because there were areas where you could touch the sting rays...I enjoyed that, Sofia did not want to touch them, and nor did Kim. First few days in our new home- Dallas TX

So we have arrived in Texas....yay for us....and we have been doing quite a lot...so yes, we have been keeping busy. We arrived on Friday 23rd June in the afternoon at 2pm....after doing immigration, we went to the hotel, dropped off the luggage, literally, and went to fetch our new car....a white Jeep Cherokee....it is so nice....we are soooo excited to have it...beautiful...have a look.... Sofia in the Jeep Kim and the Jeep Cherokee Friday night we had some Sushi take-aways because Sofia was jet lagged, and so were we, so we did not make it to a restaurant with her.  Saturday there was also quite a few admin things to get done...but it was a rainy day....it rained almost the whole day...so we got a bit wet, but it is warm rain......so never mind.
